Using Entrepreneurship As The Last Refuge

I wanted to do this video yesterday, but the weather was awful, so it has prolonged for today... I was reading the post about unleashing your creativity by @amplegeologist and the post by @globetrottergcc where he wrote about the importance of the personal growth and self-improvement, and they inspired me to do this vlog...

I didn't think about the fact that I saw in the first post about creativity... It wasn't the main topic that took my attention, it was a part of the post where the author made a point about the current movement of labor... People are getting fired, losing their jobs, and without a lot of possibilities that they will find new employment...

In that situation, the last refuge is to go into entrepreneurship... For some, that the last option, for me, that was my first option 20 years ago... It looks nice, easy, and cozy, but it's not all fairytales and pixies...

Like every other beginning, it has to have a kind of preparation... People tend to undervalue the importance of researching the industry where they want to start, where is their future competition... Also, there is a big importance of self-improvement and personal growth, as your business is YOU, and you have to invest in your business...

It is important to have a specific "mindset" to successfully dive into the world of entrepreneurship... It is very hard to switch sides... Personally, if I would have to go to work for a regular 9-5 job, I'm not sure that I would be able to do it... It's the same in the other direction... If you were working the whole life some "regular" job, your transition to self-employment will be hard... It's not impossible, but it will be hard...

It's not my intention to discourage people... I would suggest everyone try an entrepreneur way of living, but still, be cautious, DYOR before getting into big investments, and think... think a lot...

Well said Zoltan, and one more thing about making entreprenuership the first choice rather than the last refuge is that you can most like start building while having your old job and income to back it up, when you start after you are out of a job it will be much harder, stay awesome.

Thanks for your kind words... And it is harder to start something by doing it like a "hobby"... If you are doing something as a primary job, it's "easier" (lets say like that) to focus and build up...

Yeah that is also a great point, though if you start after not choosing yourself to quit your job it will be harder than starting when you decide to.

There is also another ditch you can fall into, and that is overthinking and overplanning, and never get started. It is important to educate yourself and plan your business, but you also have to dare to take the chance once you have gotten some education and done some planning.

Good point! As I was jumping on my ventures and didn't have that problem, I forgot to mention that...

Unfortunatelly, I think that in these moments (and those that are coming), people will be in rush to start doing something, so these things will be no problem...

Thanks for the awesome comment!

You are the heart of your business. No one is going to pay you at the end of the month. You have to run your business and make money. It's not easy and especially no that fancy that we might see on Instagram. ;)

Thanks a lot @ph1102 for giving the advice.
