Want to be a Leader? - Serve to everyone, not just to the elite

The first association when someone mentions the word "leader" is the President of its' country or the President of the US... Leaders aren't just the people who "run" the countries, leaders are also CEOs of big companies, leaders are also the creators of communities here on the Hive or just people that are highly respected in certain surroundings...

The "buzz" word in the modern era is an "influencer". Every blogger or vlogger wants to be one... But, to become one, you have to have an audience, followers... When you get some, you have to "take care" of them, as they are being transformed through time into the community... As numbers are growing, leaders usually pick their "team" to help them in keeping things rolling...

In those moments, problems can occur, and usually, that happens when the leader isn't on the same page as his followers... When EGO goes up, fired up by the elite, the relationship with the followers starting to fade...

Check out the video for some thought about this topic...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

Wise words. For me, I try to look at it like this - I serve no one but Jesus but He asks that I give to all of those in need and the irony is - we are all in need, someway. Thank you for your thoughts on this. I appreciate it.

Indeed, we are all in need... Just sometimes we forget about those who aren't loud enough...

Thanks for the comment! Have a great week!

Yes. You are so right. And we don't see those who don't have the ability to be loud. It's important to stop and remember this. Your words are very wise!

I find that in the climb to the Top, initially people have genuine motivation and genuine goals, however as they climb to the top of the ladder they find they have to compromise and negotiate and eventually when they get to the top they have forgotten the very reason why they wanted to be their in the first place, all original motivation has been thrown out the window.

Yes this is the case of politics and the corporate world.

Example: I want to be in a position wheer I can make change, to get their I have to play part of a a game, as I step onto the first rung I realise that to get to the next I have to negiotiate an ideal, then the next step I have to ignore that, the next step I have to take on board this, the next step I have to take this direction, the next step I have to back eddle on that particular ideal, the next step I have already changed who i am and now my motivation and ideal is tainted by the sytem. eventually I reach the top but I have forgotten who I was in the first place and have essentially become a puppet of the system.

Realize the limitation of maximum affect. dont try and be at the top, stay wheer you can have the greatest connection and the greatest understanding, the greatest empathy and the greatest experience. If that pushes you to the top then constantly remind yourself of your motivation.

Stay humble always, remember that to have an audience you must be the audience

Nice Post Zoltan, without getting to sidelined by Political madness

It's not that I want to persuade you in something, but this looks like a perfect topic for an awesome blog post :)

I don't know if I have mentioned in the video one very important word, GREED... It's probably the best friend of EGO, and it's the thing that is pushing you forward, over that line of reality... And I don't mean only as a matter of money, but also power, or even just a narcissistic view that others adore you more and more...

In any case, totally agree with your statement... If we go down with that road, we should be stopped at the "breaking point" where we have that "peak" of connection and understanding with surroundings...

Thanks for your time and awesome comment!

:) I had actually already started a Blog Post on that premise, due to your inspration in the Video :) and then thought I would reply to you first,
Greed is a driving factor of many, and not just Greed for Wealth but Greed for Power, the need and desite to dominate and come across as the bigger person. which of course we know only results in the smaller person.

My partner and I were discussing the other day how the world has shifted from one of moral and ethical motivations to one of greed and how that has created a world that will always look for the loopholes the easy way, the manipulations that are self serving as opposed to community serving. (Another Blog Topic)
It is this very shallow self serving world steeped in legal loopholes created by a desire for power and a construct of dominance that has us in a world situation that we are currently.
Without going into the bafoonery world of a certain countries politics and how that has made that country the laughing stock of the world, yet also a very worrying situation. Certain selfish and destructive behaviours of some individuals must surel allow some empowerment in populations acroos other countries in the world.
The awakening of the power hungry , idiotic, mindless cross breed of sheep and bafoon should surely awaken and give some voice to the sensible and show the rest of the world that if we dont take action then we will end up like the sheep bafoons that have no mind for themselves.
without going into the subject of politics of course.

Great to see that TWO blog posts are in the creation process... :)

I will not go deeper into the discussion, as it will last a couple of pages probably, but I see only one possible scenario, and you have described it in the last paragraph...

This wrong built world has to collapse, and it is just a matter of time... It can be prolonged more, as it is happening for a couple of decades (as I'm aware of my personal experience), but the end is coming...

It's impossible to grow something healthy on the poisoned soil... It can be ugly, but I would like to see that in my lifetime... As the sooner it comes, the more chances we have... :)
Cheers!

The problem with people in power is that they often are looking for ways to appease their ego. In a way they are not leaders they are kind of kings that need to be adored. This is the reason why they surround themselves by people who lick their a**.

A real leader is in my eyes somebody who tries to bring the best people together and who brings the best out of them.

Yes, that is the ideal solution... But, I don't know if I saw that... Maybe in Switzerland? I live always in wrong countries... lol...

And usualy it is like you said in the first paragraph... But, it's not like that at the begining... People that grow into leaders aren't (all) like that at the beginning... But, the result of constant a$$ licking is pumping ego, and the system collapse...

I think that similar things are happening here on chain, with witnesses and whales in the first line... and after that with some tribe leaders, on a lower level... Anyways, we are lucky that there are some positive examples...

This video is so on point. I found myself nodding to a lot of this lol.... being a leader is an important role but with it comes responsibility for oneself as well as others....

I have seen it in the past where some get so wrapped up in their ego & how THEY look that they lose the respect of their peers & lose sight of themselves. It is a sad thing to see...it's as if some of them totally lose their way & no one can help them get back on track....

Imho, when you become a leader, you are supposed to represent everyone in your community, not just the top dogs & "cheerleaders". Everyone counts! When the ego gets in the way, it's so easy to lose sight of what's important & who supported you in the first place. Ultimately, without your community, you have nothing...

Awesome video, Zoltan. Your videos are always good, but this one was on fire! 🔥💚

Another important word that I didn't mention, responsibility... (or I did?) Anyways, you are right... As a leader, a person takes responsibility for others also... I know that we are adults, and should be responsible for ourselves, but some people can't do that, or don't know to act responsibly... and leaders should guide them, educate, teach...

It probably is like that with promisses before elections, when everything is super and will be awesome... but it got forgotten AFTER some time when all those thing hit... Ego, greed, and separation from the reality and ordinary people...

It's very easy to fall into the trap of praises and cheering... when you get too many compliments, something isn't ok :) :)

Thanks for your kind words, Jenn! Appreciate your support!

It is very easy to become a leader
The point is to maintain that status
A good leader is the one who believes in Sacrifice and self-denial
Lead from the front counts
A great leader should always be taking the pressure on themselves
Very beautiful and nice commentary

Indeed... And I just smiled when I saw this:

A great leader should always be taking the pressure on themselves

It is true, but at this moment, I can't see any of the "world leaders" doing that... They are always BLAME someone else... lol... and usually, it's the people that are guilty for everything...

Unfortunatelly, responsibility is a forgotten word... If leaders would have it, this world would be a much better place :)
