Don't Give a Shit

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Being an entrepreneur means being different... Being an entrepreneur means taking your own destiny into your own hands... Being an entrepreneur means taking responsibility for your life, and the life of your closest ones... Being an entrepreneur isn't just another job, it's a way of living...

The list can be much longer than the one that I wrote... There are a lot of positive sides to being an entrepreneur, but there are also other sides that aren't that nice... That doesn't mean that they are "negative", and I have avoided writing that word in the past sentence on purpose... As they aren't negative, they are just harder, unusual to any other profession, or ordinary 9-5 job...

Being an entrepreneur also means freedom... The title of this vlog is maybe a bit harsh, but life can be like that... And, yes, you as an entrepreneur can do some things that you can't do when you work for someone... when you have a boss... You can actually say those words on loud... and say it to your client that is sucking your blood, and don't respect you... You can say "I don't give a shit"...

Yes, your action will lead to a reaction... You will pay the price for your bad actions, for your said words, for your bad behavior, for your honesty... I had some second thoughts about publishing this post because of exactly that... About the price that I will maybe pay for being honest...

But, as you can see, I have decided to take a risk and pay that price... I think that the message in the video is more important than me, and I hope that it will be useful for some of you...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

You have hit it right on the head on so many levels! I don't even know where to begin ... lol

First of all, yes, being an entrepreneur is a whole different lifestyle & mindset... for those who aren't in this lifestyle, they might have trouble truly understanding it. It takes a special breed to be successful or even persevere through the ups & downs of that journey...so we tend to get judged for it at times....

There's also an empowerment through this as well...we can make our own choices & steer the boat in the direction we want it to go in; tell the story we want to & help others in our own way. We do not depend on someone telling us what to do or one who will silence us. We work WITH people, not under them here...As you said, there's a freedom in it....

I also agree with what you said about the comments about "why they don't get picked". I stand by the same principle - if you are not providing value and really don't give an effort in your work or brand, or even in the comments, there's not going to be much reciprocation from me. If one expects me to support them when they haven't even tried to be supportive in turn, why am I going to even look at them? This is not coming from mean intentions - it's a matter of respect.

I want to see people empower themselves & put in the effort; not beg for upvotes, etc. without putting in the work. There are so many who have the potential to soar but just don't do it.

But when it comes down to it, we can't control anyone except for ourselves & stay firm in our own truth. So, for me, focusing on ones who DO apply themselves & dare to be different are ones I notice. :)

Fantastic video, Zoltan! Great message and I hope more hear it :) Keep up your awesomeness :) 🧡

This is true... and as I said, it brings risks with it, but an entrepreneur is willing to pay that risk for the price of the freedom...

I want to see people empower themselves & put in the effort; not beg for upvotes, etc. without putting in the work. There are so many who have the potential to soar but just don't do it.

There are some great examples of this... Lately, I saw some awesome new authors using the CTP tag and posting in our tribe some great blogs... There are not "pulitzer" winning posts, but they are posts where you can see the effort, sweat and dedication of the author...

There are some "small" authors that are living from creation on HIVE... In their posts you can see the light in their words, the spark... They are investing themselves in their creation... That's what we have to respect and appreciate...

Thanks for an awesome comment!

I know you create very cool vlogs and I like them a lot but THIS!
This one is epic!!
Jon does slap some on the face but you also slapped on the other side lol
There will be always a bunch of excusers and beggers out there! It's up to us to filter from them and stand out!
And if there are others who don't want to be ninjas and be samurais like us, they can come to fight with us side by side.
That story was interesting as, like ninjas, there are also a bunch of bosses out there, but only a very few are leaders! And it is not easy being a leader, but good leadership leads to good teamwork, and again, they fight together side by side.
It is up to us to be the leaders or ourselves and our business and kick our butts as much as possible to reach our goals in life!
Thank you, leader ;)

Thank you for your kind words, Eliana...

Actually, I didn't slap anyone in the face... I told my opinion about entrepreneurship and what attitude should entrepreneur have... This was my personal opinion, view, and my way of living and doing business...

Standing out is a must, even if you stand out in a "weird way"... There is no sugar that can sweeten enough the truth and the obstacles that we will meet during our entrepreneur life...

...and I like to eat cookies sometimes (lol), but I'm not the kind of person that will sugar things and lie to you about a certain things to make you more comfortable...

Everyone deserves to know the truth, but not everyone can handle it...

Have a great Sunday!

And that is why I admire you! I prefer that people say the truth than telling something now and add a bunch of lies behind!
I'm not going to lie either that it hurts, but that is ok because it will make me stronger and grow to a better me!
I know you don't mean to slap anyone, but some people should have it even myself ahaha

Nobody deserves to be slapped, but a lot of people had to be awakened...

Lol, we are all ninjas now indeed. And you can have your mask as crazy as you want. 😄
But I do get that feeling of wanting to do different things. Although I haven't yet taken the step towards entrepreneurship yet. Well, not in the literal "owning-a-business" sense I mean, because I do consider my crypto portfolio/investments "business". Sure, there is a bit more risk, but if you do enough research, any risk can be worthwhile. But you already know that of course. :)

To be cliché: Honesty is the best policy.
As a customer I value the "rude" owner that is honest and offers quality much more than the nice owner that is just focused on being nice to trick me and not doing a good job in the process.

As a customer I value the "rude" owner that is honest and offers quality much more than the nice owner that is just focused on being nice to trick me and not doing a good job in the process.

Usually, most of clients/customers like that more (at least that I had contact with)... Maybe they don't say it on loud, or don't like it when they hear something... and that is normal... But, when things settle down, people tend to realize where is the real value, and the real value of truth... or how painful, or liberating can be...

And those who don't understand that, well... F them... 🤣 They don't deserve your time and effort...

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this post! Appreciate it... and keep on doing great posts... I enjoy reading them... ;)

If I could, I would avoid clients altogether. The few years I worked on the frontline of the it-support for a company where enough for me. 🙃

Keep up that attitude. Always value your own time and effort and if it's worth some situations. 💪

Thanks, I try. And thank you, for sharing these informative videos. With my internet connection the buffering sucks, but I discovered that 3speak allows downloads through torrent, which comes in really handy for me.

I didn't know that! It's awesome that there is an option to download the videos through torrent!

Excellent! Two thumbs up. Gotta put in the work, if not double the work when an entrepreneur.

Thank you for two thumbs up! I would be satisfied with one, but two are double! :) And you said it well, an entrepreneur maybe works for himself, but it always works for at least one more (your IRS... lol...).

And, there is a time for a talk, but work is the thing that moves us forward...

Thank you for your comment and your time!

You went through a lot of stuff in this video. I think that as an entrepreneur we tend to have to swim against the current more often than normal. Not only do we have a totally different kind of responsibility but also we need to look forward and anticipate how things would evolve. When people are ninjas, we need already to be one step ahead...

Sometimes... I just wait to see what will you add in your comment that will make the whole post better... and you never disappoint me... :)

When people are ninjas, we need already to be one step ahead...

Exactly! That is the point... Probably that was in my mind when I said that "it's not interesting to be ninja"... Always at least one step ahead...

Thank you so much for your comment... Appreciate your time and your encouragement...

Just seeing the thumbnail, I keep thinking about what just happened. You look so serious. Glad to know your history of being a ninja. I gotta say you applied the effective ninja trick to your boss at that time. ;)

hmm... so your boss was saying the same thing over and over. You could give him Ninja productivity tips. He just records everything he wants to say one time, and then keeps playing the same record as many times as he wishes. At least, he does not have to waste his time saying the same thing again and again. lol...

Hehehe... yeah, that would be a good option... Generally, my boss was the kind of person that likes to "dominate"... and usually, people like that accomplish their goal by shitting on other's head... if people allow them to do that...

But, on the other side, he was smart enough to appreciate the hard work and results... so, that's why I kept my job, and the other guy got fired... Anyway, I quit after a couple of months and open my shop...

Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it!

This is a great post and video!! Today, I did something I very seldom do and that was read through the comments and I couldn't agree more with all of them. We have to be ourselves and do what's best for us while helping others who desire to reach their dreams. We cannot loose ourselves trying to help others. And if they don't show initiative to get onboard we must move on.

Also I had no idea my comment on 3 speak went through. I've been having trouble with them and don't know why but I'll keep trying to use it.
