Wow, these are great questions, guys! While everyone’s life journey is unique, it’s amazing to see how many similarities we all share as well. It reminds us of how we are truly connected…
Forgive me for being late to the game, but still wanted to participate!
Onto the questions ;) If you had told me I would be singing the praises of crypto 5 years ago, I would’ve laughed you out of the room. While I never had anything against it, I really didn’t understand it or realize what significance it would truly have.
I started out in stock market trading in 2017 after an ex-boyfriend showed me how he traded online & listened to this awesome show, Day Trading Radio. I quickly became involved in the trading world, made a lot of great trader friends & even went to a few conventions in NYC. During this time, crypto wasn’t even on my radar.
I was doing the video content creation (that you see here on HIVE) on the side with my YouTube channel, but over time, I realized I really wasn’t making any traction. I was becoming more disillusioned & was truly about to scrap everything. When I wandered into one of @jongolson’s Facebook webinars one night, he convinced me to try Steem & once I came on to the blockchain, I was hooked.
Fast forward a few years later, I became fully invested in Steem - now HIVE & cannot be any happier. It also sparked interest in other cryptos I hodl for a rainy day - BTC, LTC, ETH, BAT & a few others. I am a true believer in it now.
While the USD is still my primary income resources (because face it, I need to pay my bills), I am noticing with HIVE, it is growing more & more to the point I can pay a couple of utility bills or even a month’s rent. After daily diligence, the use case is coming to life. That is pretty exciting stuff.
Playing games for crypto still blows my mind as well - I am growing in Splinterlands, not just in playing the game itself, but also thriving in my video content creation. Getting upvoted for it is almost like a double stream of income in a sense! Now, all of this is starting to give birth to a new brand, Pixie Power Gaming, which will take a life of its own in the next coming months… ;)
Liotes is also another project I am truly invested in for the long haul. I am excited to see things grow & how everyone will win here. :)
In the present moment, I can now say crypto is a major part of my life. Aside from the monetary value of HIVE & all other cryptos, it also symbolizes freedom of speech, no censorship & living my authentic truth. This is where I belong - I know my life mission now. I can create wealth while helping others to empower themselves. It really doesn’t get better than that! 🧡✨🧚🏼♀️

I think you pointed out something that really is important. When I'm on hive I always have the feeling that it is a win-win circle. I enjoy myself, earn something and let other people profit from my content (if they want) and from the curation rewards. I kind of see it as a new type of economy where the ones that are cooperating are successful. We are not in competition, we are in this together and together we grow :-)

Exactly!! It really truly is a win-win. As long as everyone does their part, we really have a beautiful set up with HIVE and even Liotes. No one loses & I really like that aspect. :)
