Hey fellow swarmers!
The 1st to comment today! Woop! lol
Congrats to the winner! Enjoy your honey! The video is on 3Speak and I don't have an account there, so I'm not sure who the lucky bee was! lol
I'm not sure how far bees fly for their nectar but I'd imagine they make their hives close to where they know the pollen is; so I'll say a kilometre tops! ;)
Have a great week everyone! Lee :)
Good Luck on the Honey pot
wtg @rcaine on the win I would say about 1 mile but can be a lot further
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congrats to the winner!
All over the world i would say

A double win today, @rcaine! Congratulations!
As someone will probably write the right answers, I will do the wrong one... They travel far, far away from their Hive... :)
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congrats @rcaine
Bees can fly up to 5 miles from the hive, but the average is less than a mile.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
congrats @rcaine
as far as they can fly.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
As far as they must to find what they need. Plant things for them so they can stay nearby!
Good Luck on the Honey pot

Thank you everyone for your support.
It depends on the species of bee as to how far the will go.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congratulations on your win, @rcaine! Did a search on presearch and found this page: https://beehivehero.com/how-far-do-bees-travel-from-their-hives/
with a ton of information.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congrats @rcaine for the win
according to google they can fly up to about 2 mile to find nectar. But they tend to place there hive close to it if possible
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Thanks @russellstockley
Whoa! Almost but not quite... congrats @rcaine! Another win.. amazing!
Have a fantabulous week ahead everyone! :)
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congrats again @rcaine
Honeybees will usually travel between half a mile to as much as 3.75 miles to scout out plants to forage. However, some people have recorded them flying as far as over 8.25 miles during their journey for nectar.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congratulations on the win today @rcaine
The distance each bee flies in its life is astonishing. It is possible for bees to fly as far as 5 miles for food, however an average distance would be less than a mile from the hive. A strong colony, around 60,000 bees, therefore flies the equivalent distance from Earth to the Moon everyday!
info found here https://www.bbka.org.uk/how-far-does-a-bee-fly-how-does-it-navigate
Good Luck on the Honey pot
As a rule of thumb the foraging area around a beehive extends for two miles (3.2 km), although bees have been observed foraging twice and three times this distance from the hive.
Good Luck on the Honey pot
Congrats to Bob for the win, and usually Bee's stay quite near their home, but if need be they can search farther away, but not longer than they can go back.
As far as their little wings and the wind will take them!
WTG on winning the honey pot today Bob
Depending on the type of bee it can be from 1 to 3.75 miles.
Congrats @rcaine!!
Bees will travel up to 12 miles from the hive, This depends on conditions such as nearest food sources and weather.
Congrats @rcaine
Congratulations @rcaine!
Almost two miles!
3 to 4 km
