Hive Times - How Do You Attract Consumers

Do you have an online business and if so what are the methods you use to promote this business ???

I have been running an online business now for just over ten years and while running this business I have learnt quite a number of ways that help drive the business forwards.

One is by promoting my business on various different platforms, such as Blog Posts, Traffic Exchanges Viral Mailer programs, Word of mouth, Offline, Creating a Mailing List and Newsletter of my own and of course on Social Media.

All of these methods have given me results, however it has been fluctuating as to what methods give the best results, Sometimes its social media, sometimes its Traffic Exchanges, sometimes its Offline, however always its sending out information through my list building efforts.

In the early days of online business development I learnt that the best thing you can do is to start building your mailing list because programs come and go but your Mailing list is here to stay. Through that list I have built a network with my subscribers and have allowed them to have some ownership as to where the list goes, what it reports on and who gets heard.

With the advent of the current situation in the world, there will be a number of people that will be looking for new directions and as one of the current givens is that we have Internet access and possibly looking for ways to supplement our incomes, now is the time to think about what we are passionate about.

Get the fingers working and write a small E-Book or two about it and then hook into an Autoresponder program and start building your list. Offer the E Book as a Lead Magnet or at least a teaser book and then start letting your list know about your passion, why you have it and what it does for you. You can then point them to the E-Book as a product.

Of course 1 E-Book is not going to sustain or supplement you, so indulge your passion and start imparting as much information about it as you can. The more information you share the better position you are in to turn your 9-5 into a professional hobby that will see you in good stead for your future.
