Hive Times - The Community Grows

G Day Folks

Welcome to Hive Times

Hive has been active now for nearly 2 weeks, people are starting to see their engagement increase and more and more people are coming on board every single day

Payouts have taken place and the first HIVE HUD has also taken place on the 1st of April

The fact that more and more people are coming on board to HIVE demonstrates to me that the Hard Fork was the right thing to do.

Sure there are still a few bugs to iron out and we are still waiting for Steem Engine to help bring Tribes over to Hive.

However on the whole the move has been a positive one

I am enjoying the engagement and activity on HIVE and while I find myself at home these days due to the current Stay at Home regulations, I am finding more and more time to actively read posts and engage with posts.

For me I look for posts that are positive, going to make me laugh and make me gasp with the beauty of creative process and how other people see the world.

This I believe is what make a greater and stringer worldwide community.

Knowing that we are all going through very similar conditions ata the moment and having a platform like HIVE to be able to bring us all closer together is an absolute positive to us all. We don’t have to be in isolation when we have such a vibrant and strong community.

After all, that is what HIVE is about, community, if it wasn’t for the forced hand of an autocratic decision making process HIVE would not have been created and for that we are grateful.
I believe in Community, I believe in Information sharing and I believe in communication.

So we should all be #ThriveOnHive and make this space the best we have , keep it vibrant, keep it strong, keep it a place to feel safe and keep it a place to be yourself, express and delight and above all else engage.

There are some great and creative initiatives coming from all walks of life and from all over the world. This truly is a worldwide community that has a great deal to offer and a great deal to share.

Check out all the challenges and contests, some that I have seen are

  • Art Creation
  • Music Playing
  • Favourie Foods
  • Cooking
  • 2020vision
  • IAmAliveChallenge
  • Free Writing
  • Poetry

Just to name a few, there are a multitude of community challenges out there, some of them with Prizes and some with greater Up-votes for taking part

One I have seen is the #IAmAliveChallenge where you get a greater up-vote for your contribution daily – here is the post that outlines the challenge - @flaxz - https://peakd.com/hive-119826/@flaxz/glmrrjya-hive-119826

Step up and take part in whatever challenge comes our way and make HIVE a place to call home

Because we are in a worldwide community we see stories from all over – this helps us to know that we are not alone with all that is going on. Everyone is looking at new ways of doing things and finding new things to do.

This post by @ultravioletmag shows how we look for the excitement in activities we haven’t done before and how we allow ourselves to experience challenges we have not necessarily succumbed to in the past.

Our new way of looking at things will open new doors for ourselves and we should be excited at stepping through
