I lived in York, England, for many years, so I have a lot of memories of walking along or hanging out by the River Ouse.

Here in Hiroshima the main river is the Ota River, but it splits into a delta as it approaches the sea creating a series of long islands. "Hiroshima" actually means "Broad" "island(s)".

I spent my second year in Italy teaching in Rome, so I have to mention the River Tiber!
