Congrats @elizabetamt ! :)

Bees go to Honey University to learn how to make honey. It's a complex course of learning how to pollinate flowers & collect nectar to start the process. ;)

Congrats @elizabetamt

Hmm through associative learning. Accdg to this answer I got though it's a consequence of their digestive system.

Midweek! Getting closer to another weekend... wow!

Congrats to Elizabeta for the win, and it's instinct, unless they are sick they can't stop themselves from making honey.

Congrats @elizabetamt for the win

How do bees learn to make honey? From their parents. but then it is the nature vs. nurture question

Congrats @elizabetamt
Honey production is not something the bees “learned”. It is a consequence of their digestive system.

Honey production is not something the bees “learned”. It is a consequence of their digestive system. The chemical production of honey involves ingesting the nectar they collect from plant sources, mixing it with digestive enzymes in their "honey stomachs", regurgitating it, and repeating. It's no more a learned behavior than a cow chewing her cud.

Congrats on winning the honey pot today @elizabetamt

Bee's learn from experience gathering pollen and nectar but honey comes naturally from their digestive system.
