MINDFULNESS NOTES

Never Be Alone Because Life Will Feel Crueler

What is crueler than life? Maybe when you are alone and feel lonely. I think it's worse than anything.

I went through a lot of struggles with mental health. It took me long enough to realize that getting away from others is what makes things worse.

So on mindfulness notes this time I want to share about the loneliness that kills us slowly, without even realizing it. It's like cancer in its early stages that one never realizes is killing someone and without symptoms.

Talking to Someone

Not being lonely doesn't mean you have to have a relationship or have a good family. We know there are many people out there who have to struggle with family members who are not supportive and/or have abusive partners.

As simple as talking to someone is quite helpful in making yourself better. The more you get away from other people, the more you think you are, the more pressure you feel inside of you.

Compared to people who are more open to other people, people who choose to be alone are more likely to blame themselves, have more difficulty being grateful, and even more prone to hurting themselves.

By talking to other people, you will receive a lot of new points of view. There will be things out there that are worse. You will not blame yourself because you come to understand that other people have the same problem even more severe than you.

You won't understand those things if you don't talk to other people. You just summed up things from your point of view. How would you have a better perspective and thinking if you were only busy with your world?

The world is bad, but there will always be a beauty for those of you who want to find beauty on the other side, with people who have positive energy.

Not Too Bad for Making Friends

As we mature we will feel that friendship is just bullshit. Some good friends drop our careers. Some good friends end up badmouthing you to the public. Ultimately we must choose a circle of friends and relationships that are positive for all sides of our lives.

It is better if we have one friend who is there for us than we have 100 friends but never there to support us when we are down.

Making friends isn't bad. There is nothing to be afraid of, although you have to be careful.

Try to make friends in new circles or your new community perhaps. Getting out of your room and saying hello to new people will be very good for mental health.

You don't have to be overly open to other people. You need to be friendly and try to talk, that's all. Talk about anything and it is better to talk about your hobbies or things that you are studying.

I realized the world was not all that good. But then I realized that there are still many good things worth fighting for, including our happiness with good mental health.

Don't hesitate to speak up or express your opinion. Maybe you just need to talk to make yourself feel better. Because basically, we are not talking to get a solution, but we just want to be heard. And by talking we will feel better.

I enjoy talking to new people on my morning walks on the field. New people make me laugh without judging me, and that's great for bringing us positive energy.

Walking around with a pet, smiling sincerely, and greeting new people, I am sure it will make us feel like we have a world of fun even though we are having a lot of problems.

So don't ever get away yourself from other people. Life will press you viciously if you push yourself in a corner alone.

Stay excited and courageous to look ahead, and at least talk to other people.

Note: This is a record of my journey of how I am progressing to see life better. I try to see new perspectives that can make me more grateful every day.

This is one of the wonderful thing that I ever experienced in my life. Imagine, walking around in a park early in the morning and almost everyone that you come across will nod or even smile at you, it makes the world a brighter place. Just like everyone is saying, "Smile, and the world will smile at you". (^_^)

There is a day when I feel down and I don't want to go outside. But then I try to push myself to walk, breathe fresh air and try to smile with others. Finally, it will make me better.

Thanks for reading.
