Hello everyone! I made chive dumplings last week, but now I have time to share the recipe with you all. I just finished making this post.

This is Chinese food, and it's very delicious. There are so many people that love it and so many people know how to make these, but most people make it with meat. My style is vegan, so that is what I make for you.

Ingredients For Dough

  • 1ΒΌ cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Β½ (+ or -) cup water

Take a bowl and add flour and salt. Stir it, then add oil and mix it. Pour a little bit water and stir it, then pour a little more and knead it very well until you have the dough. I put it in a container and keep it 30 minutes to 1 hour.

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ While I wait for the dough, I start to make filling. After I make filling I start to roll and cut the dough.

After I made dough and put little flour on it, I made it the some roti but it’s a big one and is very thin. Then took a glass for cut the dough and pour flour little on them and use hand painted it.

I made only a little dough for this recipe because I have some dough in the fridge left over from making dumplings..

Ingredients For Filling

  • 1 1/2 cup of chives leaves after cut
  • 250g tofu
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 vegan shrimp
  • a little fried red onion
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cassava flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

Chop garlic and cut chives, onion, and vegan shrimp the same way. Then put them together in a bowl and add salt, sugar, cassava flour, sesame oil, fried onion, soy sauce and crushed tofu. Mix it up together well.

Now I start to pack them.

Take a little filling and put it in the dough. The first time I used my big finger and turn left, then I use the my middle finger and turn right. Do it the same until the end, then close it.

After steam them 15 minutes.

This style is easier to make than the above style. Just close it and take right side and left side and close it together. @kidsisters helped me to make these dumplings and close them also.

I steam some and I deep fry some also. When I make them Justin asked me many times, "Do you fry them or deep fry them or not?" He asked me that because he loves to eat deep-fry dumplings more than steamed. He worrying about I steam them all.

This dumping is delicious with sauce. I slice a lttle ginger, chilies to taste, 5 tbsp soy sauce, 4 tbsp vinegar or lime juice to taste, 1 tsp sugar, roasted sesame seeds as you like, 1 tsp sesame oil and a little sliced green onions. Then stir together well.
