Hi everyone, I have stir fried papaya for lunch today. This is a food I can eat everyday with rice and my family likes it too. This is the first time I made it here because it's difficult to find kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and green papaya.

Sometimes I can take lemongrass and papaya from people's house but kaffir lime leaves not have in Suriname. I have some kaffir lime leaves from Holland that friends gave me the other day.

This looks so good. You know I’ve never had cooked papaya.
I hardly see papayas here. Saw a few at a supermarket some weeks ago but found it hard to buy one😆. It was expensive. Finally bought one. It seemed ripe but after cutting it, I realized it wasn’t. I was disappointed. I tasted a piece and it was so bitter. I probably could have cooked it up with some veggies.

I live here two years ago but I never to see green papaya in the market or the China store but I can get it from the people’s house, so that is not easy to get it. I like green papaya more than sweet papaya because I like to eat papaya salad and it’s very good to make soup. Thanks a lot for your comments. !ENGAGE 35

Another recipe that looks so flavorful and delicious! I think I've only had green papaya in a slaw before, but I bet it's great in so many different applications. Once again you've made me want to go to the specialty markets to get some of these spices and flavorings to use here!

Lemongrass is the best! There is a good vietnamese place by me where they make an amazing lemongrass tofu dish! Also lemongrass tea is great!

You know that in Venezuela we do not consume papaya or "milky" as a salty dish, but as a sweet, in juices or in fruit salads, however this great recipe that you present to us deserves to be replicated, made, to know the flavors of other cultures. I liked that you used turmeric, I like the taste of it, and I actually grow it. I do not know the taste of kaffir lime or tulsi leaves, I will have to find out and do some research. Like all the recipes that I have seen you have published, this one is also excellently well explained, with an impeccable step by step, good quantities and also you give us a story along with the recipe itself, which adds emotion and feeling to the publication . Very good work. Greetings.

Saludos.
