Hello Food and Beverages Community on Hive Blockchain.

Halo Komunitas Makanan dan Minuman di Blockchain Hive.

ENGLISH

Yesterday (13/04/2021) was the first day of fasting month for us as Muslims. This is a holy month which also we call the Month of Ramadan in the Hijri year. Of course we are not allowed to eat and drinking anything since 05:00 AM and we can only having something to eat at 18:43 PM before praying time or Maghrib. Breaking the fast also called iftar, it is a banquet of food and drink after a day of enduring hunger, thirst, and all things that can invalidateour fasting.

This afternoon, I and my big family in Aceh cooked the foods for iftar together at my older cousin's house. This is a festive iftar in our family for the first fast of Ramadan.

This is the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and we must be at home to do fasting. There is a great lesson for us when the world is hit by corona viruses because my family members can gather to break our fasting. What's more, most of us live in the same village here and it makes us easier to make plans for breaking our fast.

Saya ingin menceritakan bagai mana kami memasak tadi sore.

I can share with you the story in this post how we cooked this afternoon for breaking our fast. Some of my female cousins make spices in the kitchen to cook chicken curry, tuna fish sauce and milkfish, and shrimps to be patched up. They also fry the two kind of fishs, and there were chicken to be fried. They also boiled some salted eggs. I just helped them to buy or looking for some of the ingredients they need to cook the meals.

Finally, at 5:30 am, all the food was finished cooking. My wife and I went back to our house to take a shower and we would go back to my cousin's house to break the fast.

Inilah cerita saya tentang memasak makanan untuk berbuka puasa di hari pertama puasa bulan suci Ramadhan.

This is my story about cooking foods to break our fasting on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

What an interesting post! @bahagia-arbi, I am really amazed by the traditions of other countries and cultures. I had heard of Ramadan, but did not know in detail about the breaking of the fast. I see that it is a great feast that must be super beautiful to share with the family. Thank you for sharing your culture with all of us. Good post. Greetings.

Buen post. Saludos.
