Hello dear Hivers, I hope you are all feeling well.

Today I want to share with you a delicious and easy recipe so you can share it with all your family members.

This time my aunt had a birthday and I didn't have enough money to buy her something nice so I decided to make her a nice gesture with this delicious tartlet of Parchita as it is known in Venezuela or Maracuya as it is called in other countries.

With very few ingredients you can prepare this tartlet and here I will give you the step by step:

  • 50 grams of Sugar (¼ cup)

  • 250 grams of all-purpose or non-leavened wheat flour.

  • 1 egg.

  • 100 grams of butter.

  • 500 grams of Parchita or Passion Fruit.

  • Vanilla essence (optional)

First I will explain how to prepare the tartlet:** **.

In a large bowl we are going to add the Butter and the Sugar. We are going to spread with a paddle until all the sugar is dissolved and form a homogeneous and creamy mixture.

Add the egg and spread it with all the mixture, add a teaspoon of vanilla and finally the wheat flour.

Mix everything well to form a moldable dough. We put a little wheat flour on the counter and extend the dough with the rolling pin until a clean and thin layer.

We are going to place it in a bowl previously greased with butter and a little wheat flour so that the tartlet does not burn underneath.

Carefully roll the dough in the rolling pin and little by little stretch it over the bowl until it is completely covered, then fix it with your fingers being very careful not to break the dough.

Prick it with a fork very gently so that it does not puff up in the oven.

We are going to leave it in the oven for about 15 minutes no more.

While the tartlet is baking, we are going to make the passion fruit jelly.

In the blender, add:

  • 500 grams of passion fruit.

  • 1 cup of water.

  • 4 tablespoons of sugar.

Blend everything at maximum speed, pass the juice through a strainer to remove all the seeds and add it back to the blender, but now with the cornstarch and again at maximum speed.

Now we are going to pour all the juice in a pot and mount it on the stove over low heat and we will be moving in a circular motion so that it will not stick to the bottom of the pot.

Once the jelly is thickened, turn off the stove and pour all the jelly into the tartlet and put it back in the oven for 5 more minutes to finish cooking the jelly.

Let it rest in the open air and put it in the fridge to finish compacting and ready we have a divine tartlet.

See you in a future post!
