Having Lunch at Rembele Cafe in Bener Meriah of Gayo Highlands

A friend of mine and I enjoyed our lunch at Rembele Cafe in Bener Meriah District of Gayo Highlands, Aceh Province a few days ago. It was our first time to have some meals at the cafe. We were curious to visit this restaurant since some friends of mine suggest me to try some menus of Rembele Cafe.

The cafe is newly open. Rembele Cafe is not just a restaurant but also a homestay. The restaurant is open for public, and they have some rooms for rent. I drove my car from Munyang Kute Hospital, where I just finished visiting my patients there. After five minutes drive, I just got close to the cafe. It was a good weather but a bit cloudy.

Upon arriving there, I found it look a nice and cozy cafe and homestay. I had a good impression at the first sight!

After parking my car on a spacious parking area, I walked inside the cafe. I admitted that the cafe is a great place, most parts of it made of pine wood. The floor is also made by wood. Almost all parts of the walls are glasses, so we can view outside easily. After having our seat, a beautiful waitress came to bring us two sets of menu book.

I took it and then I started perusing the menu book. There are various types of menus. I think it’s a great restaurant since they could provide many kinds of meals and drinks. They provide fried dory fish. I love dory fish, then I ordered a portion of fried dory fish with green-chili condiment.

I think Rembele Cafe is a perfect place to have lunch or dinner as they provide various type of menus. We could order fishes, steak, seafood like shrimps, squid, lobster. There are also chicken, beef and many more. We could peruse on their menu book.

My friend ordered fried dory fish cooked sour-sweet soup. I could imagine it must be a delicious menu. Then I ordered also one portion of fried shrimps. For the drink, we ordered orange juice.

After ordering our meals and drink, we were talking about the cafe and homestay. After observing this cafe, we are planning to hold a round table discussion at this cafe. Since there is a perfect meeting room here.

Twenty five minutes later, the waitress delivered our menus to our table. First come was fried dory fish with green-chili condiment. It’s my menu.

Then come fried shrimps. They looked so delious that made drooling before eating them.

A few seconds later, the waitress delivered a portion of fried dory fish with sour-sweet soup. It’s my friend’s menu! It looked so tempting.

For sure, we ordered rice as well. As asian, rice is our premier meal. After everything served including our orange juices, I just have partaken a piece of fried dory fish immediately. It’s so delicious and it has smooth textured-flesh.

Frankly speaking, we really enjoyed our lunch at Rembele Cafe in Gayo Highlands. It’s a definitely nice and cozy restaurant to visit with friends and family. However, you know? The cafe is located just next to airport. Even, the runway is just exactly in front of the cafe.
