How I Learned What "Day for Night" Means

"CineTV is an entirely free tribe to the Hive community," is the announcement of a new tribe in Hive. It's called CineTV and many of us were expecting it, even though we didn't realize it ... because almost all of us are watching movies and TV.

I must say that the film was and is for me perhaps the greatest passion, since adolescence it has been a constant in my life. The movie at the cinema, the movie at the cinema when I still didn't have a TV.

With the help of movies, I was able to more easily endure a childhood and youth in a communist country. I can say that I have seen many hundreds of films, of all genres and I know that this is the only way to educate the taste for the film. This is the only way to learn to understand movies and to be able to choose the best ones.

A long time ago I tried to write about my favorite movies but I did not find the audience and the interest of colleagues to read such posts. I saw many colleagues posting about movies, just as I saw many colleagues posting about music and yet without much success. That made me give up on these topics.

Now, with this community, I believe and hope that things will change. If the Leo Finance model is copied, I think success is guaranteed. I don't think about tokenization, I think about interaction.

I think something very interesting and a kind of premonition happened. In my last post, although the main theme was photography, I also referred to film. Before I knew of the existence of this community because if I knew, I would have already used the hashtags #cine and #cinetv because it would have suited.

This is the post if you want to check: La nuit américaine ( "Day for Night" )

There I wrote about a movie that I really liked. A French film called "La Nuit Americaine". A film that won the Academy Award, the best foreign language, directed by one of the most important directors of the New French Wave, Francois Truffaut.

This is a movie in a movie. It's a movie about how to make a movie. It is a film in which the director Francois Truffaut plays his own role. A film from 1973!

I saw the movie in 1975, I think, I don't remember. I was twenty years old and like any young man, I was an admirer of American film and the American way of life. I thought I'd see an action movie. It wasn't like that at all. At first, I was disappointed but then I was more and more captivated by the film, I saw for the first time how a film is made.

Then I found out why the name of the movie was American Night. The American night was a filming process, a way of filming the day and creating the impression that it was night. It was the 70's and the filming equipment was not very efficient, night filming was a problem that was solved with the help of filters on projectors.

A great movie, a classic movie. This movie can be unattractive and boring for those who prefer action movies or with spectacular special effects or who are not attracted to old movies. But a movie that should be seen by those who look in movies more than fun and relaxation.
