CINE Rich-list on 13th July and thoughts around community
This is just second week of publishing the rich-list on the #cinetv platform and I am already super excited. Last week's post on the rich-list was hyper-engaging.
There were a lot of discussions about the community issues like liquidity, tokenomics, learning curve etc.
I was really surprised to see the kind of engagement my previous post witnessed. Cinema is something which most of the individual in the world likes to watch. In the pandemic days the need for Cinema has gone up tremendous.
My rich-list posts tell couple of important facts about the platform.
Summary of Rich-list changes
- There are 3399 investors or token-holders who engaged with the CINE tokens.
- Out of these 3399 investors and token-holders 1465 accounts (43% accounts) have zero or close to zero balance in their accounts at the time of writing this post.
- Since last post on CINE Rich-list, five new accounts have entered in the rich-list of top 50 accounts.

The top 50 accounts controlled total staked CINE power of 451917 out of 612290. This amounts to 74% of the total power.

Wow, so now I am on the list of the rich people in CINE community. Thank you for compiling this list. It is always pleasure to read your insightful reports. As compared to #pob community, where only 65% of the total staked pob power is controlled by the top 50 accounts, I believe #cine is yet to evolve. The decentralization of the #cine power is just started with the new entrants.
Congrats for being on the rich-list. Sometimes these reports are very important to please the ego of the account holders. Its a feel good factor to be on the rich-lists of some of the tokens and control certain percentage of the tokens in circulation or staked.
Nice seeing this report. Happen to love the cine TV platform, the reason I got a few. Hopefully I should be getting on the top 50 list much sooner as I'm not too far behind.

Yes I agree, it is altogether a different initiative but the community is probably hesitant to understand the importance of the same. #cine seems to be quite conservative community.

The list shows the amount of liquid tokens and staked power. Delegations are also considered during the calculations. However, the community seems to be non-appreciative of the efforts.
It's great to see CineTV project growing up with so many nice people.
In order to grow their base, they need a good and supportive community. Currently, the community of #cine seems to be very concentrated and the decentralization of the power has not yet started. There should be more projects focussed on engagement and should have more liquidity in the markets.
No richlist published this week ? I was actually waiting for the same to check my ranking on the richlist as I was powering up all my rewards during the week.
Good that you have powered up the CINE tokens.
But I will not be keen to publish any rich list reports for #cine tokens henceforth. There are many community members @r-cine, @notacinephile @papdimos and
aleisters.score who probably don't see any value in such reports and they are not interested in having engagement on the #cine platform.
I am not in the mood to fight a flag-war on any platforms. I have no clue about their thinking. I donot have any understanding of their negative behaviour when @brofi or @raymondspeaks seemingly have no objections on posting these reports.
So I have decided rather to stay away from the #cine platform and focus my efforts on the platforms where the efforts are appreciated the most.
Additionally, I have also powered down whatever small amount of cine I accumulated. I would be willing to extend my support to the community in future if there is a clarity about the posting on to this platform.
You've answered your own question perfectly. The first post was cool, but as a regular segment, it doesn't bring any value. Throwing numbers anyone can see with a few clicks on Marky's tool.
As I see it, the people can bring value to CineTV by talking about what the platform is about—Movies, TV shows, and so on. The more the better. We're quite generous regarding well-written posts—whether they are reviews, related conjectures, or remarks.
Also downvoting is merely a reward disagreement tool. I have no animosity towards you. But I doubt you get that concept.
While you say you are in no mood for a flag war, you didn't forget to downvote one of my book reviews as retaliation. Perhaps, meaningless, valueless things such as books don't mean much to you. I understand that. :)

But just want to inform you that you will not find the weekly changes in rich-list in Marky's tools.
His tools only give data, it has to be converted to meaningful information. You will never know the newcomers who are trying hard to get into the rich-list and such posts are appreciation for them.
These types of posts create engagement and are good for the platform as a whole.

Whilst your content is great for proofofbrain! I love stats, so I am very pro them, but it's not a good fit on a movies and TV site. We are strictly movies and TV, and hopefully what we're working on in the future will help with that distinction! :)

I understand every community will have its own theme. My all best wishes and support for the community will always be there.
I have always been a fan of @brocoin since I have discovered it. I really admire the CINE community and its tokenomics. Would definitely come back if I decide to write something on the cinema.
Sorry bro I was not aware of so many things happening over this platform. I guess I asked for a wrong question. I was also planning for some good initiatives to be replicated on this platform. However, now I guess I will have to think many times before I do any thing. This incidence is a good precedence for what to do and what not to do.
I think you should dare and come out with your initiatives. If the community doesnt like it anyways they will vote you out. Dont think too much, just do whatever you feel is right. That way you can make your mind clear.
