Staying home
Making my first post to The Black Sheep Bloggers Community created by @battleaxe seemed to call out for some black and white photos.

I am growing so weary of not feeling safe to go out and do the things I want to do, or spend time with the people that I want to be with. Normally by the time autumn arrives I would have been to visit my Chicago kids a few times and enjoyed the things the city has to offer, including good food, people watching and Lake Michigan. Oh, and dog watching, too!
Any excuse to take photos will do and I love all the photo opportunities in the city. But I really don't mind staying home in the woods, surrounded by nature, with all of you close at hand and a lots of books to read loaded onto my Kindle! But having fresh photos to draw from would make me so happy!

The 2nd dog must have been camera shy... Only his tail shows in the photo on the bench and he was left behind for the selfie on the beach!
Those big old mansions were built in the city in an era of wealthy families with lots of kids, I guess! I can't imagine needing that much space!
I'm so glad that the kids stay in close touch, even when we are not together!
Do you make some video calls with them ? 😊
we are lucky to be at this digital era when you can see someone anytime by camera indeed !
Only occasionally. We are mostly in touch by text and sending pictures back and forth. My son and grandson went fishing and I got a bunch of photos from that outing, and Ella is painting their condo and I've been getting photos of her doing that major project. And we all get together and text back and forth during sporting events!
Awesome, glad to have you aboard! Gorgeous house, I love Victorian style...actually like really anything that's unique and grabs your attention including the poodle. I need to stop yacking in rooms lately and blog more from like your iniatitives etc......closing on a house rl, things are a bit cray atm and will be for awhile O.o

That is a really nice house
I feel the photos of the lady and dog on the beach, with no one else around, are really neat and speak to the loneliness that some feel right now. Our pets really are our best friends and companions during this time.

I'm glad that I am not the one that has to keep that house clean! Can you imagine?
This is a lonely time for many people, especially those of us who live alone.
