Ladies Of Hive Contest Question

Just yesterday I made a post about friends helping and boosting one's potentials. Friends that add value to one's life.
And today I bumped into a contest organized by Ladies Of Hive.
We are in round 22 of their contest. Wow, I can't believe the last time I joined their contest was in round 18. I have missed like 3 rounds. I am sure not I won't be missing them again 😔

For this round, as usual, two questions were asked. I would have loved to answer both but this time I rather just answer question one since I am not home to play my board games and show photos.

1️⃣ Do you think men or women make better friends? ...and why?

Friends, I would say, shouldn't be based on gender. I feel they all have equal rights and none should be considered better than the other.
I have very limited friends who are guys but that doesn't mean I choose my female friends over the male ones and I also don't consider my girlfriends better than my guy friends.

Like people would ask me why I don't have a bestie who we call our best friend over here.
It is not that I have a trust issue but then you can't really blame me can you? I don't consider anyone my best. Everyone is equal. Being close to me doesn't mean you are entitled to be called my best friend. You are just a close friend or acquaintance and nothing less, nothing more.

So whether you are a girl or you are a guy, it doesn't really matter to me. All persons are equal before my eyes.
I share my mind with my friends and what is bothering me, regardless if they are females or males.
I don't give great importance to one and degrade the other, it doesn't work that way for me.

Friendship is one of the most important relationships we have or keep as humans. Good friends help stir the greatness in us.
Our association and communication with people matter a lot and being able to distinguish which of your friends are contributing to your life and those subtracting from you is very important and not that one is a girl and the other is a boy.
The importance in friendship is not placed based on gender.
Everyone is important and I don't think it's right to see one gender better than the other perhaps because of our perspective or view.

For me, both men and women make a better friend and none is better than the other so no need for comparison.
