How to downvote properly
Hive has an issue, with downvotes, that has been discussed forever. I am personally not against downvotes per see, but I am against unexplained downvotes.
There is a website, mainly used to help people at Stackoverflow (a Q&A platform) to explain why something is not good. Of course, the website focus on coding/programming downvotes, but I think that the Hive community can learn a bit from it.

Website to help explain downvotes
https://idownvotedbecau.se/ is a website that helps people elaborate on why they have downvotes something. The website is aimed at software developers, and it works for us! By elaborating your downvote you help the community improve the content, and shape the path the platform takes. We could definitely use it over here on Hive and learn to downvote properly.
I sometimes talk about touching subjects, like language learning (apparently controversial on Hive) and altcoins.
When I have posted about my method of studying Chinese, I was attacked by a racist network of Hive users that downvoted me simply because I was talking about a Chinese language. What bothered me was the lack of explanation. When the downvote trail explained their downvoted they showed that their intentions were purely racist against Chinese people and language (unrelated to government and politics, just like my original post)
When I post about altcoins and talk about why I do not like them, an army of very powerful downvoters comes after me. Just like it happened on my last post about SHIB:
As I said, I am not against downvotes, some people over here are against the way downvoted work now, but I can't think of any better alternative so the way it is now should work for now.
But people need to be mindful about leaving CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK when downvoting to make the platform grow and the content improve.
The website https://idownvotedbecau.se/ helps us, developers, elaborate on our feedback, and it adds value for programmers. It could add value for Hive too.
I perfectly agree with you!
I'm not against downvote, but I think it must be linked by a real reason!

@igormuba, you've been given LUV from @bencwarmer.
Check the LUV in your H-E wallet. (3/4)
@igormuba I read this @kennyskitchen piece about censorship in HIVE (https://peakd.com/hive-110786/@kennyskitchen/fycmkosc) and now I think there should be only upvotes in HIVE. Plain and simple. Maybe flags only for some extremely harmful subjects like hate speech and stuff. What do you think?
I am not 100% sure
I agree that downvotes should be used as flags, but I think people would still abuse
Removing may not be good but it impossible to know the future so I just guess
