How to earn passive income through Splinterlands

Splinterlands has an interesting economic model. Sometimes it feels like one elaborate pay to play game, while other times, I'm just glad that I can enjoy the game. While it may not be perfect, the game has been around for only a short period, but you can tell that the devs are ambitious. The game is in a constant state of flux, and regardless of how you see it, we're moving.

The best way to earn from the game is through participating in ranked battles and tournaments. The latter is something that I need to get more active with because there are some rich tournaments out there. However, if you'd like to invest in cards or earn from your current deck but don't want to actually play the game, then this is for you.

The best way to sit back and earn passive income with your cards is through the leasing market. I don't know if there are other lease markets around but I use the service through peakmonster.com.

Generally, the procedure to lease cards involves;

  • Login with keychain
  • Place your card in the market
  • Wait for interested people to pick up your offer.

Naturally, the cheaper your offer, the better the chance of your card being picked up. It is a very competitive market and it is an alternative to selling your cards if you don't need the bulk sum. So, if you have some cards just laying around in your deck, you might as well put them to use by listing it on the lease market, and then earn passive income through them.

Definitely. I'm depending on them for my collection power thingy, so I just hold the useless mfers.

I'm probably getting closer to this point of leasing all my cards. I wish there was an option in-game to just lease out my entire deck. It will be so quick to do and easy...

there is no in game option but I have 2 people playing 6 of my decks... we just split the profits 50/50
They live in Venezuela so they are almost making a living off it. Let me know and I can hook you up, I know they would not mind taking on more if its decent summoners

Im just getting back into Splinterlands. Wish I held on to all my beta cards from last year but I sold when the whole Hive/Steem drama went down smfh. But yea leasing the cards is about as passive as it gets...especially for strong hands

I'll give it a go and see what happens. I need to wait a few days as i delegated a bunch to a friend that plays. He's had them long enough for free, hahaha.

Thanks man

I did that for a while but didn't find it to really be worth it. I eventually just sold all of my cards. The collection was worth over $8000 at one point.

I have been leasing out 6 decks, much better, people play them for me and we split the profits... and I just stick to my main one

There is nothing better than passively earning a good income. It is always good to know more ways to earn money.

Thanks for sharing! - @ashikstd

Well said there.

but you can tell that the devs are ambitious
that's correct as I also think likewise.
Thanks for your time and effort.
Cheers.
