I think something like this is very much needed. Being able to lock in crypto as an escrow type service will hopefully bring more accountability to the crypto space. The problem that I see right now is that FOMO causes a lot of people to take risks because they don't want to miss out. This creates an incentive for people to launch worthless ICO's and protocols that generate a lot of hype and then collapse taking people's money with them. The ability to pledge payment to a project, but also slowly stream that payment out over a period of time will hopefully give the best of both worlds. It will fund the project, but because the money is paid over time, it will be harder for people to run off with a large sum simply for doing nothing.

I know already a lot of crap is happening with the DeFi space as we speak. But great gems will emerge from them and DeFi is here to stay.
