Hello guys,

Today I am going to share with you another battle in @splinterlands. I was not planing of making a battle post today but stars allingned well and I was able to gather my current dream team. So I thought that this battle deserves a post. I choose SAND WORM as a theme for this battle.

image.png
Edition: REWARD
Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: SNEAK at level 1, SNARE at level 6, PIERCING at level 10.

SAND WORM is neutral monster. This is a monster with melee attack. This card can level up to level 10 but I only have this card at level 3. At this level SAND WORM has melee attack(5), speed(2), health(6). It also has SNEAK ability(attacks the last opponent's monster instead of the first) This card needs 9 mana.

Those are the stats of this card.

Battle details:
I played with death splinter. And my opponent used water splinter against me.

rules.jpg
It was a battle of total 99 mana with two rules:
Healed Out - All healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners.
Reverse Speed - Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of avoiding attacks.

Lineup.

I had my MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE level 2, LORD OF DARKNESS level 1, CTHULHU level 1, ANCIENT LICH level 1, PHANTOM SOLDIER level 3, SAND WORM level 3 and DARK HA'ON level 2.

And my opponent had his/her cards as BORTUS level 2, THE KRAKEN level 1, ORHILO THE FROZEN level 2, GOBLIN MECH level 1, SAND WORM level 3, PRISMATIC ENERGY level 1 and CAPTAIN'S GHOST level 2.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

~I chose the summoner MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE. level 2
image.png

This legendary death summoner lowers all enemy ranged attacks by -1, gives Void ability to all friendly monsters, and prevents enemy monsters from healing. This is my favorite death summoner for battles with big mana cap because all those abilities are awesome. This card needs 7 mana.
Market.

~LORD OF DARKNESS. level 1
image.png

Edition: Alpha and Beta
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: Death
Attack: Melee
ABILITIES: Enrage at level 1, Stun at level 2, Shield at level 3 and Retaliate at level 4.

This is a death monster, in this level it has melee attacks (3), Speed (2), Health (8) and Armor (2).

It has one ability at this level which is-
Enrage : Has increased melee attack and speed when damaged
another ability at level 2 is Stun: When a monster with stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.
another ability at level 3 is Shield: Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.
another ability at level 4 is Retaliate: When hit with a melee attack monsters with Retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.

This is probably the only monster in my team I would consider replacing with something like HAUNTED SPIRIT, LORD ARIANTHUS or if I would have it CORNEALUS... But even then it would not be an easy choice because LORD OF DARKNESS is also a great tank. He needs 7 mana.
Market.

~ CTHULHU. level 1
image.png

Edition: DICE
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
Attack: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Criple and Flying at level 1, Stun at level , Weaken at level 3 and Last Stand at level 4.

This is a death monster, in this level it has magic attack(3), Speed (1), Health (12).

Another ability at level 3 is Weaken: Reduces health of all enemy momsters
Another ability at level 4 is Last Stand: Gains increased stats if it the only monster on the team alive.
This card needs 11 mana.
CTHULHU is one my favorite death monsters. A flying monster with good magic attack and a lot of Health? What could better than that? Well...
Market.

~ANCIENT LICH. level 1
image.png
Edition: REWARD
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
Attack: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Life leech at level 1, Void at level 2 and Resurrect at level 4.

Another ability at level 4 is Resurrect: When a friendly monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.
This card needs 7 mana.
This monster I like even more than CTHULHU. They both have the same magic attack power, but ANCIENT LICH can gain more Health. I just have to protect it for a while and it becomes insanely powerful.
Market.

~PHANTOM SOLDIER. level 3

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: EPIC
Element: DEATH
Attack: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Flying at level 1, Silence at level 3 and Void at level 5.

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Flying : Has increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters that don't have Flying ability.
Silence: Reduces the magic attacks of all enemy monsters.
This is another very powerful mage monster. It was one of the main reasons why I even upgraded my MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE to level 2. Was it worth it? Hell yes. Higher magic attack and Silence ability are awesome.

Market.

~SAND WORM. level 3
image.png

Edition: Reward
Rarity: COMMON
Element: Neutral
Attack: Melee
ABILITIES: Sneak at level 1, Snare at level 6, Piercing at level 10.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (5), Speed (2), Health (6).

It has one ability at this level which is-
Sneak : tacks the last opponent's monster instead of the first.
Another ability at level 6 is Snare: removes the flying ability by attacking flying monsters.
Another ability at level 10 is piercing: does damage to monster's health even if that monster has armor.
This card needs 9 mana.

SAND WARM is my favorite weapon for destroying monsters with low Health. In most battles it is a great choice no matter what team I am using.

Market.

~DARK HA'ON. level 2
image.png

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Taunt and Flying at level 1, Scavenger at level 2, Void at level 3 and Magic reflect at level 4.

This is a death monster, in this level it has melee attacks (2), Speed (3), Health (13) and Armor (2).

It has three abilities at this level which are-
Taunt : All enemy monsters target this monster(if they are able to).
Flying: Has increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters that don't have Flying ability.
Scavenger: Gains +1 max Health each time enemy monster dies
Another ability at level 3 is Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.
Another ability at level 4 is Magic reflect: When hit with magic damage, does reduced magic damage back to the attacker.
This card needs 10 mana.
This is another awesome recent addition to my death team. Also another reason why I am glad that I upgraded my MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE to level 2. Very high health + Taunt + Scavenger means that most of my opponent's monsters while be very busy for quite a while. DARK HA'ON protects my mages and SAND WORM and they keep killing monsters and adding more Health to DARK HA'ON. I love this combination. think that some people would prefer having a monster with a Taunt ability in first position but I placing DARK HA'ON in the last position. This way it doesn't take damage from first enemy monster and buys more time for damage dealing part of my team.

Market.

On the battlefield.
battle.jpg

In the beginning of this battle most of my monsters were targeting my opponent's Kraken. My DARK HA'ON was distracting my opponent's team- most of his monsters were attacking him. Kraken was the only monster attacking my LORD OF DARKNESS. My opponent lowered my attack powers by -1 but I was not worried about that because I really trust this selection of monsters. After all it is possibly the strongest death team I could have at the moment.

battle round 2.jpg

In the beginning of round 2 both teams still had all monsters. But my situation was much better- both my tank and DARK HA'ON still had a lot of Health and my opponent's Kraken already was barely alive.

battle round 3.jpg

At this point my opponent lost Kraken and now had ORHILO THE FROZEN as tank. This was annoying because this monster was a good counter to my team with a lot of mages.Especially now when my opponent lowered magic powers of my mages. Still I had no reason to worry because most of enemy monsters were still busy with my DARK HA'ON. So I had some time to melt this ice bull.

battle round 4.jpg

Now things were looking really good. ORHILO THE FROZEN damaged my LORD OF DARKNESS. This meant that now my enraged LORD OF DARKNESS had enough power to destroy ORHILO THE FROZEN and I no longer had to rely on weakened magic attacks to do this task.

battle round 5.jpg

At this point my victory was clear. My opponent only had a few monsters remaining and was still not able to destroy my DARK HA'ON. I guess that upgrading my MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE, DARK HA'ON and PHANTOM SOLDIER was REALLY worth it. 😜

battle round 6.jpg

My LORD OF DARKNESS finally fell. Perhaps a few rounds ago this might have made a difference in this battle(?)...But no longer at this point. The rest of my team were more than ready to take revenge for their fallen comrade. Victory was mine.

                                   Battle Results

battle results.jpg

In this battle I won 8.928 Dec and 10 League Rating. In this battle my strategy worked perfectly- my LORD OF DARKNESS protected my team from frontal attacks, DARK HA'ON distracted most of my opponent's monsters for entire battle and my SAND WORM and mages were free to rain havoc upon my enemies. My opponent had a few counters to my mages but it was not nearly enough. This was one my favorite teams and I am not sure what I could change in this lineup. At some point in the future I would like to buy CORRUPTED PEGASUS but I don't think that I would have a place for it in my current dream team. The only problem with this team is that it requires A LOT of mana so I can only use it very rarely. But those times when I can use this team are really great.

I hope that you enjoyed my battle. If you would also like to start playing splinterlands and earning by making posts about your battles or by making art inspired by splinterlands please consider using my referral link:

thank you. Yes Sand Worm is cool. I use it often and upgrading it to level 4 is one my priorities. that 6 attack would be very useful. It is a shame that this monster only gains Piercing at level 10.

So, it's not about the Naga Fire Wizard.
Sand Worm is a good one from neutral splinter and I really liked your detailed post.
Keep on battling.
