Hello guys,

Today I am going to share with you another battle in @splinterlands.

Battle details:
I played with death splinter. And my opponent used fire splinter against me.

It was a battle of total 26 mana with one rule:
Healed out: All healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners.

Lineup.

I had my OWSTER ROTWELL level 6, LORD OF DARKNESS level 3, ANCIENT LICH level 3, OCTOPIDER level 6, SHADOWY PRESENCE level 5 and FURIOUS CHICKEN level 4.
And my opponent had his/her cards as MALRIC INFERNO level 6, GELATINOUS CUBE level 7, LORD ARIANTHUS level 3, ELVEN CUTTHROAT level 5, KOBOLD MINER level 5, GOBLIN SHAMAN level 5 and FIRE DEMON level 3.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

~I chose the summoner OWSTER ROTWELL. level 6

This rare death summoner grants Magic Reflect to all friendly monsters. This card needs 3 mana. This is my favorite death summoner for battles with low mana because I think that Magic Reflect is better than abilities of other non legendary death summoners.

~LORD OF DARKNESS. level 3

Edition: Alpha and Beta
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: Death
Attack: Melee
ABILITIES: Enrage at level 1, Stun at level 2, Shield at level 3 and Retaliate at level 4.

It has three abilities at this level which are-
Enrage : Has increased melee attack and speed when damaged
Stun: When a monster with stun hits a targer, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.
Shield: Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.
another ability at level 4 is Retaliate: When hit with a melee attack monsters with Retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.
He needs 7 mana.
Market.

A tank that is resistant to melee and ranged attacks, does more damage after losing some health and can stun the opponent? that is a damn fine combination.

~ ANCIENT LICH. level 3

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DEATH
Attack: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Life leech at level 1, Void at level 2 and Resurrect at level 4.

This is a death monster, in this level it has magic attack(3), Speed (1), Health (6).

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Life leech: Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt.
Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.
Another ability at level 4 is Resurrect: When a friendly monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.
This card needs 7 mana.

This might just be my favorite death monster because if I can protect it for a while it gains insane health. The fact that at curent level it already starts with nice health and Void makes this monster even better.

~OCTOPIDER. level 6

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: DEATH
Attack: RANGED
ABILITIES: Demoralize at level 3, Blind at level 7.

This is a death monster, in this level it has ranged attack(4), Speed (4), Health (8).

It has one ability at this level which is-
Demoralize: Reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters.
Another ability at level 7 is Blind: All enemy melee and ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target.
This card needs 8 mana.
Market.

A monster with great ranged attack and nice health. I chose this monster as my third my weapon alongside with ANCIENT LICH and LORD OF DARKNESS.

~SHADOWY PRESENCE. level 5

Edition: Reward
Rarity: Epic
Element: death
ABILITIES: Strengthen at level 3 and Inspire at level 6.

This is a death monster, in this level it has Speed (1), Health (6).

It has one ability at this level which is: Strengthen: All friendly monsters have increased health.
Another ability at level 6 is Inspire: Gives alll friendly monsters +1 melee attack.
This card needs 1 mana.
Market.

High health means that this monster is a great shield for the rest of my team.

~FURIOUS CHICKEN. level 4

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (1), Speed (1), Health (1).

He needs 0 mana. After selecting my team I still had some space so I added FURIOUS CHICKEN as well. Another line of defence.

On the battlefield.

In the beginning of this battle most of my team were attacking my opponent's GELATINOUS CUBE. ELVEN CUTTHROAT and KOBOLD MINER were attacking my FURIOUS CHICKEN and SHADOWY PRESENCE. And the rest of opponent's team were targeting my LORD OF DARKNESS.

At this point I was getting a bit worried because my opponent still had a second tank and I was losing my defence against sneak attackers.

Now I was more confident in my victory because my opponent's tank was barely alive and one of his sneak attackers was about to be pushed into a first position.

My team beat few remaining enemies and I won.

In this battle I won 10.133 Dec and 11 League Rating. My strategy worked well-LORD OF DARKNESS protected my team from frontal attacks, SHADOWY PRESENCE and FURIOUS CHICKEN provided defence from sneak attacks, my attacking monsters did nice damage.

OCTOPIDER is not the monster I use often. But it has good health and ranged attack so this monster could be useful.

I would prefer having more magic attack monsters.Normally I like hiding ANCIENT LICH behind of the CTHULHU. This allows ANCIENT LICH to gain a lot of health. But this battle had quite low mana cap so this combination was not really an option.
