Splinterlands | getting an additional chest by renting cards

Today I decided to promote myself to silver 1, I have been sitting on +1600 for a couple of days (I'm even +1900 by now) so it was high time to get promoted.

I had to get an additional 30.000 power to get there, I don't have the money to actually buy this amount of power, so I headed to peakmonsters to rent some cards.

Renting this amount of power costs me around $0.05 dollar per day (I didn't spend too much time checking the best deals). The average reward chest should have an average value of around $0.07 dollar. The margin is pretty slim, but it should be worth it.

Well, unless you are not lucky of course.

However, if you climb the ladder you also start earning more DEC per match (or is this only based on rating, I'm not sure, does anyone know?).

So what about my rewards today?

No luck today, 3 of the cheapest common cards and an alchemy potion. Well, it's still better than low DEC rewards.

Tomorrow might be better!
