From the Game Lore section :

The Kobolds of the Burning Lands are skilled at seeking and extracting precious stones from the innards of the planet. Their favorite tools are torches and hammers. Thanks to the extreme pride they take in their mining work, they happily accept their situation of servitude to the Torch.

Origin :

The kobold (occasionally cobold) is a sprite stemming from Germanic mythology and surviving into modern times in German folklore.

Although usually invisible, a kobold can materialize in the form of an animal, fire, a human being, and a candle. The most common depictions of kobolds show them as humanlike figures the size of small children.

I have started seeing a lot more of these little guys in decks I oppose in my quests. I have been considering investing in one to use in low mana games.

Candle on top of Kobold head is so funny.

That represents modern day head lights I guess 😂
