This was just a fight that I had doing my quest today. I am in Champion 3 right now and you can watch the battle Here You will see how close it was. We both had some setup mistakes maybe. But it was an even fight that was fun for me to watch.

The battle was 17 mana, even stevens, and close-ranged. Earth is a strong team so I went with them as I feel do pretty well in low mana. When they can heal it is sometimes just hard for the other team to kill your tank. I went with swamp thing for the slow and weaken and put him there to be first target for a sniper. Magi is just strong and I hope to not see magic reflet. I need to level my KHMER PRINCESS but that was the healer I could fit in the mana cap. I put the chick back there just to take a sneak or opportunity attack. Now to his set up. I might look bad but really it isn't so bad. He went with chicken to take the first hit. Then his slower chain golem would still get to attack in turn one. Then he went sneak monster and anti sneak monster. That turned out to be the mistake of the match but just barely.

As the debuffs and buffs go out you get a better picture of my issues. It is really all up to the Flesh golem and the Magi to kill the chain golem the only guys can't hurt him. Also now you see the speeds and his chicken does well in round one taking the 4 damage Magi attack. My chicken also did his job and took the sneak hit. My Flesh Golem got a hit in but then he got stunned. That was bad. I did get a heal on him so was in a okay place going into round 2.

Okay, so he needs two rounds to kill my healer. Then 3 to kill the Magi. I need 4 to kill the chain Golem with the Magi. If my golem gets a hit maybe I can do this faster. Stun is my worry. It is possible the stuns can beat me but not really. Still, I watch to see if this goes how I think. The worry in mind is that last guy. What if he hits the front and my Golem is gone. Can I kill him fast enough?

20200818 17_28_55Window.png

Stunned again last round that isn't good. TThis found I am going to lose the healer and if I get stunned again I will lose my Golem. I am worried a little as I watch this round go off.

20200818 17_29_23Window.png

Haha, he looks stun funny bug on the replay but he wasn't Now I am pretty sure I will be okay. His speed lets him attack first and the high life of my Magi puts me in a good place. I think I got this wrapped up now.

20200818 17_29_44Window.png

To make it way easier for me his Golem missed. It set this round up for me to finish him off and to just barely have my Magi survive. Cool, I am going to win and finish off my earth quest.

20200818 17_30_11Window.png

As you can see the healing just kept me alive along with the extra hp from the summoner buff. This was closer than it should have been with the double stuns and I would have lost if he played another sneak guy or an attacker to help kill the golem. One mistake can cost you in the game and while he was set up to kill off a sneak guy of mine you don't play a card that can't attack. That is the lesson of this fight.

That battle might have been easy to see who would win. But it was close and one more stun could have made things interesting. Like I said though in the end playing a guy that can't attack in that last spot was just too big of a mistake. I will use a random name picker to get a winner in a week. Take care all. Oh and start playing if you're not sign up here and get to work.

Now for who won the 2000 DEC from the last post I am only putting it on hive now.

That's sure a close one. Chain golem, and lord arianthus are 2 hell of tanks to take down. Takes real good cards to bring them down. Both are prone to poison and ranged attackers though.

This chain golem looks like a scary card with his 4 abilities. Does his last card just counter the sneak ability? Seems like a risky pick.

The healing abilities can be really frustrating to play against, especially when paired with a damage debuff.

Thanks for sharing! - @yonilkar

Golden death card against to you and that Chain Golem is so powerful but you succeed.

It was a nice match. The chain golem vs flesh golem battle went in your favor because of your magi. And the heal bought you time. This is what I love about this game. You never know when that little chance of miss will work in your favor or against you. The rule sets keep everything challenging too. Thanks for coming up with the giveaway!

Thank you for the commentary. Since I haven't been playing very long, it is nice to understand why people do things the way they do.

Indeed a couple of more stuns could make winner a loser. That 4 magic is impressive artillery. Congrats on win!

Cheers!
