#saturdaymemories - some memories are worth keeping for life
On this week of #Saturdaymemories i looked back at event that happened some 3 years ago.
During this time was my compulsory National Youth service corps [NYSC]. This is a program designed by Nigerian government for the young graduates to go to other states completely out of their geo-political zones with the aim to emphasize the spirit of togetherness, selfless service irrespective of ones cultural backgrounds.
So some 3 years ago, i was posted to plateau state, the north central region of the country. also the 12th largest state on Nigeria.its capital city is Jos, with natural formations of hills and rocks.
Jos is also known for its cold weather, arguably the coldest city in Nigeria.
I was able to meet with other people from other parts of the country, it was a beautiful memories that worth keeping for life, because you might not have that moment again, and I was able to explore and learn other peoples ways of live. Its just for a year.
Below is the uniform given while engaging in the NYSC programs
3 years after, even after the 1 year program, I'm still in a close contact with some of these individuals, I've been opportuned to see some again while some on other social medias.
A wonderful time spent with like-minded people in a unique place on Earth! I think these memories will give you energy for a lifetime!
Thank you for participating in
