A set of new dice, check!
It's been years since I played tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. It be like that as you get older and have more family responsibilities. The last time I played through an entire campaign was back in 2016. Even though I don't get to play with my friends any more, I decided to pick up a set of dice.
I got this Haxtec set along with some toys for the children. I actually have never owned a set of dice for tabletop games before. When I used to play D&D, I've always used the ones provided by my friends. Then, we moved a lot of the stuff on Fantasy Grounds. Great program, but definitely felt lacking in certain aspects.
The insert in the box says that the dice are zinc alloys. As expected, made in China. Is anything not made there these days?
One of the reasons why I picked up this particular set is for the changing colors depending on the angle. The picture from my phone doesn't do it justice. The dice do turn more metallic blue as you look at them from the side.
It also comes with a little sack for a more traditional feel and storage. Let's be honest, I'm still gonna use the box. I don't know when I would use this set for a game. At the very least, I can teach the kids the names of more 3D shapes. So, it would serve some educational purpose.

.That’s a sweet looking set. I had an addiction to buying dice sets a while ago. Any cool set I saw at a decent price I would order. It’s all about quantity right? RIGHT?
My favorite is a metal set. White fill with a gold lining. Really cool.
Yes.
Now I think about it, I am somewhat hesitant about actually using a nice dice set. lol
Yeah I get it. One of my friends in my campaign has a $80 stone set he never uses. Afraid they'll shatter.
Oh wow those are lovely dice!! I'm jealous,I've been meaning to get a nice set like that for a while and I keep getting sidetracked and not buying em.
These ones aren’t that expensive either.
I thought for a second they might be pure silver.
You know I would get some if they were available at a reasonable price.
That’s why I thought at first they were.
Dice are fun, although I prefer plastic dice due to quieter rolling and less likelihood of damaged surfaces.
Yeah, I feel these might not be the most practical.
A lot of people use padded dice-rolling trays regardless of dice material just to keep everything contained.
I played for years, but it’s been a couple decades now. I think I’m gonna put those dice on my list to pour in silver.
I would totally buy silver ones.
I’ll let you know when I pour them
An interesting old game ... and the dice to throw are interesting ;))

Same thing ... I no longer play for lack of time (large family) but I still bought a dice set recently for the nostalgia of the game, because I was printing a hexagonal box that I found fun to do and make...
and also to help my children discover the pleasure of playing on the table ...
That's a nice way to get kids involved.
Thank you enforcer48, yes it's even nice to be able to share your passion with your children ...
I wish it to all.
