Growing Vegetables in Polybags 👨🌾
I have never succeeded in growing vegetables. I tried a few years ago and failed. I was challenged to plant some vegetables in polybags.
I read some tutorials on how to grow vegetables in polybags. The vegetables that I chose are shallots or red onions, garlic, and chillies.
I am serious with the application of farming with polybags in the tutorial. I bought a bag of fertilized soil from a farmer's market. I use my wife's spices in the kitchen for seeding. I took some shallots, chilli seeds, and garlic.
I joked with my wife when she asked for money to buy some kitchen spices, I told her to pick up the shallots, chillies, and garlic from the polybags. LOL She got angry then..... because the polybags were still empty.
I put the soil in the polybags and put some shallots for seeding. In the morning, one of the shallot seeds was gone. I asked my son if he took out the seed, but she did not know. I wondered who took out the shallot polybag. I tried to look for the shallot, Oh .. no there was a shallot under the polybag. I think a little cat had taken out the shallot. LOL, I think a cat is a type of pest.
This is the chilli tree after two weeks of seeding. I removed it from the seeding bed and put it in the fertile soil in the polybag.
This is also a two-week old shallot. The shallot is directly planted in the polybag. I did not make seeding bed for the shallots.
These are two weeks old of garlics.
How to fertilize the soil? I read the simple tutorial. Salt is a good fertilizer. I use 1 full spoon of salt for every 1 liter of water. I fertilize the soil with salt water once a week.
I did not do any research into why salt is good for fertilizing the soil. However, many experienced farmers suggest using salt as fertilizer.
Thanks for reading my post, I will update my polybags farming in the coming posts.

Gardening is never easy, but once you did it until harvest day, you will become an expert, but that's never-ending work. Have to maintain every day :)
That's true, gardening should take care of the plants everyday. There are a lot of things that are not on the tutorials. To be an expert, I think I have to learn more things about gardening.
