Hello everyone! I woke up early with a smile on my face as I looked at my violets! They're bearing more blossoms so pleasing to the eyes!

The African Violets

This kind of flower is a herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to Gesneriaceae family. The good thing is that you can replant it by cutting the whole leaf only. My neighbor gave me one stalk or one leaf. I let it stay on the soil untouched until small sprouts begun to grow at the center of the leaf.

From a single leaf came this beautiful violets! Since they're now overcrowded, I guess those that strove hard to breath out will be the ones to go first. I could count twenty leaves the least that will go for propagation. You just need to be patient until they grow up to become like this.

While Antonia watered the plants in our garden, I also prepared our "brunch" which is the usual case because I eat late after having my morning coffee and Antonia with her crunchy cereals.

The Park

After that, I went out to submit the modules of Antonia then I proceeded to the market place that is adjacent to our public park. Actually, this place has been part of our daily lives for more than 30 years, so I enjoy sitting on this coffee shop while overlooking at the kids playing games at the park. My kids used to play there during their childhood days. In fact, we used to do our zumba session on that same place before sunrise.

At the railings are wild flowers that were cultured which I will be doing a research later. The smell is aweful so you may appreciate its beauty only. ;)

Beautiful pair of rabbits

Beside the other stall is a repair shop with other stuffs for sale such as this pair of white rabbits for $10 only.I guess an additional pet in the family will make Antonia happy. She's a pet lover.

The Giant Philodendrons

I have to content myself in taking a shot of this giant philodendrons @$100! My,I couldn't afford it! Anyways, am fine with what I have in my garden. They're more than enough. ;)
For the record, Philodendruns are slow growing plants with hard petioles that ate heavilly attached to one single root. The unique characteristics of this plants makes it even more expensive. Not that I care because we used to have the wider and bigger varieties of this in Mindanao. They're not new to me. The trending plant collection during this time of pandemic made them more in demand with skyrocketing prices of all sorts. lol!

The Star Balloon

They call this "Star Balloon" because it resembles a balloon before it opens like a star. Otherwise known as Platycodon grandiflorus, the Star Balloon is a perennial plant that can grow wild during summer. And guys, it's good to know that this kind of plant is edible that are used in various Korean dishes! That I will be having my own experiments later. I had this item reserved on my next visit.

Trending American Bully and Belgian Dogs as pets

I had a long chat with the owner of the coffee shop with other close friends. Well, we seldom see each other nowadays because of this pandemic. Looking at the two men in front of us, I guess they were talking about their pets. Dog owners do a walk at the park to stroll these expensive hybrids. The breeds of American Bully and Belgian Dogs seems to be trending nowadays. They usually let these dogs do their daily exercise on late afternoon or after office hours. Hmmm, I know then that it's time to go home.

Favorite Street Food

I saw a street food beside the park so I ordered 2 servings of Tempura, 1 with sweet n sour flavor for Antonia and one other in chili sauce for me. Tempura is made from shrimps which makes it a favorite among bypassers especially on late afternoons. Sometimes, I buy a pack of this at home or one pack of french fries for more satisfaction.

Mr. Sun bidding goodnight

The sitting sun begun to be seen at the horizon, bidding goodbye for another day. It made me smile. I offered a silent prayer, thanking God for another day of our lives. I had a beautiful Wednesday walk today.

Thank you for dropping by my page.

Looks like a beautiful day. So bizarre how corona has affected the price of so many things, even potted plants.

Yeah, right. Though I couldn't find the logic of collecting expensive plants when others are in deep hunger!
