OneCoin: Do You Know this SCAM?

avatar

Have you ever heard of OneCoin? Years after the biggest crypto scam ever, the project still seems to have not completely disappeared, indeed it seems to be returning stronger than before.

In 2014 Ruja Ignatova, nicknamed Cryptoqueen, created in Bulgaria an advertising campaign that has as its subject OneCoin, a cryptocurrency without a blockchain but which is sold through a multilevel marketing structure or also called Ponzi scheme, claiming that it was the future Bitcoin, and all era had not reached today's values.

Do you know how a Ponzi scheme works? In a nutshell it is a pyramid scheme in which whoever is at the top earns a percentage on everyone who is below him.

An example: I buy a OneCoin package but if I invite a friend to buy another one, I earn a percentage of OneCoin, a bonus. Now the more I encourage people to buy OneCoin packages, the higher my percentage. This is how a very impressive pyramid is created.

Can i sell OneCoin? Yes, only in small quantities at a time and only on an internal Xcoinx exchange. This method guarantees sufficient liquidity to manage the sales, nothing compared to the huge revenue that OneCoin has meanwhile. The total proceeds from the sale are estimated to be around $ 29 billion. And all this by selling nothing, a pseudo cryptocurrency, without blockchain and without being listed on exchanges.

Yet millions of users buy OneCoinz although word has spread that these systems were fake and fraudulent but people acquired coins, hoping to get richer but in reality they had become poor, having invested their savings.

In 2017 Cryptoqueen disappears and is still wanted, her brother Ivanov, arrested, proclaims himself the victim of his sister and for this he is released from prison. The victims fall into despair and poverty, numerous recovery centers are born for these people and an action class is born in the remote attempt to recover part of the funds.

Dozens of people around the world were arrested for scam, involved in the OneCoin scandal, but the money has not yet been recovered and perhaps never will be.

Well today a Dealshaker portal is active in which it would be possible to use OneCoins to buy different products. In reality, users will be able to buy vouchers to spend online at the chain of stores affiliated with the site, and there are hundreds of them. There is currently little feedback on this and it is not known whether it is another scam.

Has anyone unfortunately dealt with this scam? Or with other similar projects?

Sapete come funziona uno schema Ponzi?

I only entered the crypto market at the end of 2017 and later heard about OneCoin.

But it is not the only Scam: Bitconnect for example has been responsible for many economic losses by thousands of users

the crypto world is very treacherous and new users may come across scams like this one, as it also happened with USI TECH.

Talking about these scams must be useful, unfortunately the crypto world is not just roses and flowers
