Tupac chose to be a thug just because of Frustration and distress he said and I quote "I remember crying all the time. My major thing growing up was; I couldn't fit in because I was everywhere. I didn't have no buddies that I grew up with." He was homeless and nobody to care for him. He was born in a prison. At his school in Baltimore School for the performing Arts, Tupac left a lasting impression on his teachers and was showing tremendous potential such that everyone called him 'The Black Prince's but unfortunately, he was unable to continue his training. He moved with the rest of his family to Oakland, California. That marked the beginning of his thug life.

At age 15, he went into rap. He started writing lyrics, walking with a swagger. He called himself MC New York and made people think he was a tough guy. At 20, Tupac had been arrested 8 times. Tupac then choose to do THUG LIFE when he felt he has been humiliated. He was depressed and frustrated that nobody cares about him and so, life is not worth living. The accronym "Thug life" means "The hate you give little infants fuck everybody." As he said oh his album "Changes" - " I see no changes wake up in the morning and ask myself is life worth living? Should I blast myself? I'm tired of been poor and even worse I'm black my stomach hurts so I'm looking for a purse to snatch cops give a damn about a negro..." As a sign of frustration with life, he also said in his album "I wonder if heaven got a ghetto.... I was raised the little young nigga doing bad shit, talk much shit shit cause I never had shelter. I could remember being whipped in class and if I didn't pass, mama whipped my ass. Was it my fault? Papa didn't plan it out, broke out left me to be the man of the house. I couldn't take it....I want G's you label me a criminal and if I die, I wonder if heaven got a ghetto." Later he realized even when it was rough, his mother was there for him. In appreciation in his album " Me Against the World" he rapped a song titled "Dear Mama" " A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how you did it, there's no way I can pay you back but the plan is to show that I understand, you're appreciated."

In my tomorrow's write-up, I shall be looking at lessons from Tupac.
