1-Europe: Aid to Ukraine.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reiterated the European Union's position toward the Russia-Ukraine war, aid to Ukraine will be provided as long as it is needed. This message is given at the Davos Forum.
By 2023, the aid package will be 18 billion euros. This statement by the president of the EU Commission comes on the occasion of sending the first tranche of 3 billion euros.
In the speech, in addition to the mention of aid in economic and military terms, the help that comes from hosting was also mentioned. It seems that the EU currently hosts about four million Ukrainians in various European cities.

2-China: declining population
After a survey carried out recently, a rather unexpected and I would say significant figure emerged. In 2022 the population in China has declined. This is a surprising figure due to the fact that this has not happened for 60 years. In the 1980s, CIna had imposed the one-child rule to counter population growth. This one-child policy was only discontinued in 2016. The National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing estimated that China's population at the end of 2022 was 1.411 billion. Doing the precise calculations estimated a decrease of 850,000 people.

3-Peru: people marching to Lima.
In Peru, thousands of protesters have decided to march to Lima. Organizers call this march as "The Taking of Lima." This protest is against the inauguration of President Boluarte.
The demand of the protesters is precisely for the resignation of President Boluarte as she is considered a traitor to socialism.

My opinion
1-The subject of the Russia-Ukraine war is certainly difficult to discuss. I hope that this conflict between two countries that are considered to be civilized can end tomorrow, but that will not be the case at all. The EU president's message already seems to confirm that she is ready with the provision of aid to Ukraine through 2023. These are words that imply that there is no possibility of an agreement on the horizon and that you are ready to continue for another full year.
2-Probably the decline in China's population is not to be seen as unbelievable news, since the exact opposite has been happening for 60 years, namely that the population was growing. It is certainly not a one-year decline that can make one draw certain conclusions. Interesting, however, is the worldwide figure. If we analyze the data that have been released, these say that at the end of 2022 in China the population was 1.411 billion, while it seems that India has 1.412 billion people. One would have to understand well the validity of this data to draw the sums of what is the most populated country in the world. From the data I have, with this decline in China's population, there has been a change in the ranking of the most populous countries in the world. It seems to me that now China has given way to India, today India is the country with the most population.
3-This news about Peru struck me. I don't know the situation in Peru at all, but I notice that even here, in this country, after the new president took office, there have been very heated demonstrations. It seems that today, in many states, immediately after the elections, we are to see large-scale demonstrations against the newly elected president.

1-Europa: Aiuti all'Ucraina
La presidente della Commissione Ue, Ursula von der Leyen, ha ribadito la posizione dell’Unione Europea nei confronti della guerra Russia-Ucraina, gli aiuti all’Ucraina verranno forniti finchè ce ne sarà bisogno. Questo messaggio viene dato in occasione del Forum di Davos.
Per il 2023 il pacchetto di aiuti sarà di 18 miliardi di euro. Questa dichiarazione della presidente della Commissione Ue arriva in occasione dell’invio della prima tranche da 3 miliardi di euro.
Nel discorso, oltre alla citazione degli aiuti in termini economici e militari, è stato citato anche l’aiuto che arriva da parte dell'accoglienza. Sembra che la UE attualmente ospiti circa quattro milioni di ucraini nelle varie città europee.

2-Cina: popolazione in calo
Dopo un sondaggio effettuato ultimamente è emerso un dato piuttosto inatteso e direi di una certa rilevanza. Nel 2022 la popolazione in Cina è calata. Questo è un dato che sorprende per il fatto che è da 60 anni che non accadeva questo. Negli anni ‘80 la CIna aveva imposto la regola del figlio unico per contrastare la crescita demografica. Questa politica del figlio unico è stata interrotta solo nel 2016. L’Ufficio nazionale di statistica di Pechino ha stimato che la popolazione cinese a fine 2022 era di 1,411 miliardi di persone. Facendo i calcoli precisi si è stimata una diminuzione di 850mila persone.

3-Perù: persone in marcia verso Lima
In Perù, migliaia di manifestanti hanno deciso di raggiungere Lima. Gli organizzatori chiamano questa marcia come “La presa di Lima”. Questa protesta è contro l’insediamento della presidente Boluarte.
La richiesta dei manifestanti è proprio quella delle dimissioni della presidente Boluarte in quanto è ritenuta una traditrice del socialismo.

La mia opinione
1-L'argomento della guerra Russia-Ucraina è sicuramente di difficile trattazione. Io spero che questo conflitto tra due Paesi ritenuti civili possa finire domani, ma non sarà proprio così. Il messaggio della presidente UE sembra già confermare che si è pronti con la fornitura di aiuti all’Ucraina per tutto il 2023. Sono parole che fanno intendere che non c’è all’orizzonte la possibilità di un accordo e che si è pronti per continuare ancora per un anno intero.
2-Probabilmente il calo della popolazione cinese non è da vedere come una notizia incredibile, visto che è da 60 anni che succede esattamente il contrario, e cioè che la popolazione cresceva. Non è sicuramente una flessione di un anno che può far tirare certe conclusioni. Interessante però è il dato a livello mondiale. Se analizziamo i dati che sono stati diffusi, questi dicono che a fine 2022 in Cina la popolazione era composta da 1,411 miliardi di persone, mentre sembra che in India ci siano 1,412 miliardi di persone. Bisognerebbe capire bene la validità di questi dati per tirare le somme di qual è il Paese più popolato al mondo. Dai dati che ho io, con questo calo della popolazione cinese, è avvenuto un cambiamento nella classifica dei Paesi più popolati al mondo. A me sembra che ora la Cina abbia lasciato il posto all’India, oggi è l’India il Paese con più popolazione.
3-Questa notizia del Perù mi ha colpito. Non conosco affatto la situazione che c’è in Perù, però noto che anche qui, in questo Paese, dopo l’insediamento della nuova presidente, si sono susseguite manifestazioni molto accese. Sembra che oggi, in molti Stati, subito dopo le elezioni, si debba assistere a manifestazioni di grossa portata contro il presidente neoeletto.
