Sisters, Sea, Sand and Sun: Summer of '18 👯✨💙
Sister. She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark...” —Barbara Alpert
I love my sisters! Growing up having four older sisters was challenging and fun. It was challenging because they were like my "bosses" and I had to do chores when they asked me to (argh). But of course there's a fun moment when they buy presents for me and that would make me a happy kid haha. When I was still in school I depended on them to have things I wanted since I cannot buy it on my own (needs were given by my parents, not so much of the "wants" though).
The family tradition of going to the beach every summer started probably around 2017 when the majority of us siblings had jobs so we could already afford to spend money for a beach outing. Since then, every year we'd always plan out a summer beach escapade.
I love going to places with my family because I get to let my guards down and just be myself. Before I was not as close to my sisters because of "the age barrier" since I'm the youngest (at least I used to be hehe). But now I am happy that we get to hang out as friends/buddies, especially when we go to cafes and whatnot. The closest sister I have is Sway who is the youngest one in the family.
The summer of 2018 was memorable because we had island hopping and it was my first time in Pandanon island - the crystal clear water was surely awesome! I was so happy that time too since it was the time I got confidence (finally!) to wear a swimsuit (I went through a long arduous process from hating my body to accepting it) on a beach so it was a victory for me.
As per expected my sisters and I posed by the beach as it was one of the highlights of our summer that year! It's a bummer that I was not able to take photos of the "boodle" seafood feast we had on the boat during this time - I guess I was not yet into food flatlaying that time haha.
