The monolith story from Liebegg Castle
Last year in December a mysterious monolith was found near the Liebegg Castle, a reflecting metal sculpture, about 2,4 meters high with a hollow body. No one would know how the piece had gotten there, no traces could be found in the freshly fallen snow.
This worldwide phenomenon appeared for the first time in Switzerland, but only one day later it already disappeared.
I only got to see it yesterday as I was on the way in this area.
Monoliths have already appeared in various places including Utah, California, Romania and Great Britain.
It were not aliens. At least in the case of the Aargauer monolith it is also not an advertising campaign for Netflix, they are three Aargauer friends behind the action.
They wanted to make a statement with the first monolith in Switzerland and distract people from Corona.
In the meantime, the monolith is back where the friends originally placed it. That's what communal municipality and castle officials wanted. "This is the place where it fits exactly in the middle of the arena".
Liebegg Castle has been owned by various aristocratic families since its appearance in history in the 12th century.
The first building was replaced by the new castle in the second half of the 13th century.
Have a beautiful Day!
