Pasé varios días en ausencia y hoy les vengo a contar el porqué. Pues, resulta que yo tenía varios meses reuniendo para la extracción de las muelas del juicio que me impiden colocarme ortodoncia para corregir mi problema dental que ha sido un tema muy problemático en mi vida por las burlas y la inseguridad que me genera al sonreír.
El día jueves 16 de diciembre, gracias a Hive y principalmente a Dios, pude pagar el procedimiento, tras meses de trabajo duro y constante acá en la plataforma.
Así que hoy acá, vengo a contarles mi experiencia.

I spent several days in absence and today I come to tell you why. Well, it turns out that I had several months gathering for the extraction of wisdom teeth that prevent me from getting braces to correct my dental problem that has been a very problematic issue in my life because of the teasing and insecurity it generates when I smile.
On Thursday December 16, thanks to Hive and mainly to God, I was able to pay for the procedure, after months of hard and constant work here on the platform.
So today I come here to tell you my experience.
El día 16 fuí al consultorio del doctor en compañía de mi mamá, la verdad estaba muy nerviosa por todas las reseñas leídas en internet e historias que cuentan los conocidos. Estuve tan nerviosa al punto de llorar y tener dificultad para respirar, gracias a Dios el doctor es una persona muy paciente que me explico todo el procedimiento y enfatizó que no iba a sentir dolor sino presión, y así fue, porque nisiquiera sentí los pinchazos de la anestesia.
No se siente dolor, solo presión, y el ruido de todos los aparatos que utilizan que llega a ser perturbador. Una de mis muelas estaba doblada y chocaba con la de al lado, por lo que tuvieron que picar un pedazo para sacarla y el traumatismo de ese lado de la encía si fue mayor porque era muy grande la muela.
Toda la intervención duró 1 hora, me colocaron las gasas y recetaron antibióticos y analgésicos para el dolor.
En cuánto a la dieta, líquida las primeras 48 horas y conforme fuese mejorando podía comer otras cosas blandas.
Aquí se ve el primer día al llegar a casa, la zona estaba hinchada pero no sentía dolor gracias a los analgésicos. Y sí puedes hablar, solo que no puedes abrir completamente la boca.
On the 16th I went to the doctor's office with my mom, the truth is that I was very nervous because of all the reviews I had read on the internet and stories told by people I knew. I was so nervous to the point of crying and having difficulty breathing, thank God the doctor is a very patient person who explained the whole procedure and emphasized that I would not feel pain but pressure, and so it was, because I did not even feel the pricks of anesthesia.
You don't feel pain, only pressure, and the noise of all the equipment they use is disturbing. One of my molars was bent and collided with the one next to it, so they had to chop off a piece to remove it and the trauma on that side of the gum was greater because the tooth was very large.
The whole operation lasted 1 hour, they put the gauze and prescribed antibiotics and analgesics for the pain.
As for the diet, liquid for the first 48 hours and as it improved I could eat other soft things.
Here you can see the first day when I arrived home, the area was swollen but I did not feel pain thanks to the analgesics. And you can talk, you just can't open your mouth completely.
Las recomendaciones del doctor fueron no agachar la cabeza y dormir con muchas almohadas para que la cara no se me hinchara, nada de lácteos, ni bebidas o alimentos calientes las primeras 72 horas.
Ya aquí pueden observar que para el día 3 después de la extracción mi rostro estaba normal sin hinchazón.
The doctor's recommendations were not to keep my head down and to sleep with lots of pillows so that my face would not swell, no dairy products, no hot drinks or food for the first 72 hours.
Here you can see that by day 3 after the extraction my face was normal with no swelling.
Yo por mi parte compré un enjuague bucal sin alcohol para evitar irritar las heridas. Hoy es mi día 6 después de la extracción y ya puedo poco a poco incorporarme a mis actividades diarias.
El reposo continúa y por ahora no puedo hacer ejercicio físico. A pesar de todo, siento que con esto he dado el paso más importante que me impedía corregir mi dentadura, me sentí muy feliz por dentro porque es una meta que tenía desde hace muchos años y sentía que nunca cumpliría.
Ahora más que nunca estoy decidida a cuidarme, ponerme al día con lo que me hace feliz, y por sobretodo vencer la inseguridad y seguir aprendiendo a amarme a mí misma.
La Emily de hace unos años jamás hubiese mostrado una foto de sus dientes por vergüenza, hoy en día lo veo como algo que se puede corregir, y que no soy la primera ni la última con este problema.
I for one bought an alcohol-free mouthwash to avoid irritating the wounds. Today is my 6th day after the extraction and I can slowly resume my daily activities.
The rest continues and for now I can not do physical exercise. In spite of everything, I feel that with this I have taken the most important step that prevented me from correcting my teeth, I felt very happy inside because it is a goal I had for many years and I felt I would never fulfill.
Now more than ever I am determined to take care of myself, to catch up with what makes me happy, and above all to overcome insecurity and continue learning to love myself.
The Emily of a few years ago would never have shown a picture of her teeth out of embarrassment, today I see it as something that can be corrected, and that I am not the first or the last with this problem.

Saludos ! Yo hace 2 meses, me tuvieron que extraer 3 cordiales, porque se me había partido una muela, y la verdad que en el proceso no duele para nada, pero luego de un día si tuve algunas dolencias, pero de resto ya ha este tiempo he sanado.
Sí, prácticamente lo que se siente es como presión en la encía y los dientes cercanos, pero nada grave. Las experiencias leídas en internet y contadas por mis conocidos fueron más dramáticas que la realidad que viví. Saludos!
