Well well...looks like Binance is about to list HIVE as well(?)

There is no doubt that the HIVE community has made some serious noise on Twitter.

People know about us.

They can't ignore us anymore. And that's because we are a pain in the ass...

I don't really think that I have to remind you all the shit the Steem community has been through those past 4 years.

Many of you were there...so you know what I am talking about.

The final straw for Steem, decentralization and our Steem dreams was when Binance and Huobi, 2 of the biggest and most reputable exchanges till that very moment decided to interfere in Steem's governace.

Long story short the last few days HIVE has found great support and some listings that came pretty fast. Bittrex is obviously the big name here but don't underestimate probit too, which btw has a HIVE/USDT pair as well.

Nice HIVE pump the last 15 minutes eh?...sweet

Cut to the chase

I was digging on Binance and guess what I stumbled upon....

20200324 20_54_59Balance Wallet Binance.png

Does it look familiar? I am sure it does...

Ya, it's HIVE. I am pretty sure that what you see right there wasn't to support the HIVE airdrop because it wasn't there yesterday...

Is CZ looking for redemption?

Or he simply realized that HIVE is the next big thing?

He's is a businessman after all, regardless if he is one of the most hatred entities in our community...

I haven't seen an official announcement on Twitter yet but I wouldn't be surprised if one popped up the next few hours...

Thoughts?

Still wondering when they’re going to unfreeze Steem deposits...

Ah k cool. I’d checked Huobi and they hadn’t, so I just figured it was still all exchanges. Thanks for letting me know. 🙏

No problem mate. As I said maybe they are looking for redemption...usually Binance used to activate withdrawals and deposits 10+ days after every HF.

In this case it took them...2 - 3 days max?

Hmm, I wouldn't be too sure that they list us. They somehow need to allow users to withdraw their Hive and adding it to this list would probably the easiest way.

I hope I'm wrong though^^

Could he and Justin have any other plans?

Such as? Justin's stake in HIVE is insignificant compared to what he acquired on Steem. They are free to buy and trade if you ask me but nowhere near to affect governance this time

How can you know that? There was tens of millions of dollars buying steem in the days leading up into the airdrop. It's entirely possible a big portion of that was Justin. Which means he would have gotten the airdrop via the exchange.

Tess of millions of dollars? If that was the case the price would be 100$. There was no liquidity on the exchanges. It might 'felt' like crazy amounts were spent but 2-3 mill Steem brought into the platform by Justin and a couple more millions by average users certainly isn't tens of thousands of millions.

Plus, do you remember the official announcement?

The only accounts who will not be included in the initial airdrop are those containing the Steemit Inc ninja-mined stake, and those who actively contributed to (and publicly declared support for) the centralization of the Steem Blockchain

The Hive airdrop will only be performed on the current version of the Steem blockchain (as of the date of this post). Any "emergency hardforks" performed prior to the airdrop will not be eligible. Further, any exchange that participates in such a hardfork prior to the airdrop date will null and void the ability to participate in the airdrop for its off-chain balance holding customers.

There is no way he can affect governance ever again. He might possess 3-4 mill HIVE but that's all...

one crazy cat bought 100 btc worth of steem like some big baller in the run up. I imagine that was Justin sun. I doubt CZ will do anything to publicly take sides with Justin because he is smart, he knows not to go against the crowd. They are friends and friends have influence but CZ will not do anything that tarnishes his reputation.

Those 110 BTC==> 2.2 mill steem

People talk about tens of millions of steem...that's simply not the case. In order to affect governance again he needs more than 3000 BTC worth of steem and we know were a purchase like that would send price, right?

yeah true, i doubt Justin will be interested in trying to influence Hive, he must be feeling quite lost right now. If i was him though it would just embolden me to make Steemit a great success. It depends how much work he wants to put in. I don't believe he has it in him, he just seems to think that throwing money at things and acquiring as much stuff as possible will come through in the end. I don't believe he knows what he is doing in that sense but regardless it may or may not pay off for him. Time will tell.

Yep, and that was just one buy. Looking back at the volume on those 3 days there was easily tens of millions worth of buys going on. Whether that was held or not is another question entirely but there was a ton of trading going on and it is entirely possible that Sun accumulated a rather large pile of steem, and therefore a rather large pile of HIVE.

Look at the volume on the exchanges. It was easily tens of millions. For every buy there is a sell and vice versa. There was easily tens of millions in USD bought in the days leading up into the airdrop, fact. Whether that was held or not is another question but there was certainly enough volume going on for someone to accumulate a rather large pile and park it at the exchange.

Everyday Hive is edging a notch.
Steem is quiet on the other hand and their witnesses are struggling I guess.
Is that a paradigm shift?
The real slim shady please stand up !

That sounds like a nice listing but after all, it is Binance lol
The more we spread the news of Hive the more successful it shall get. So I'll take that as positive news for now ;)

Fingers crossed...

HIVE is't STEEM and definitely isn't TRON either

It would be a smart move for CZ to do. The community behind Hive is strong.

However I am not sure how many will use Binance. He has egg on his face for what he did with Sun and Steem.

I have balances of Eon on Binance and it comes up just the same but EON is not traded there and never has. It does not mean it will be listed i dont think. This is how Binance will flex its power by not listing Hive i believe. We shall see.

Binance even I have a grudge even before this whole Sun thing is a hallmark for altcoins, having binance for your coin allows more exchange to accept the coin.

I did warn in a couple of steem post that cz would support justin bc they ARE best friends and I was sadly proven right on how far.

Either way we do need more exchanges-liquidty is needed and the main thing that coins honestly need to survive....

I honestly really wish that Binance will list HIVE.

Yes, they did mess up terrible with the customer fund voting but we really can't deny the fact that Binance is the best/biggest trading platform on the market. I personally love trading there.

Not surprised. Exchanges are after money, their lifeblood is money. So considering how Hive is more expensive than Steem at the moment and that they still have to get their customers their airdropped funds, they had to do this, eventually.

While being added to the balance list is good, we have to see when they'll enable the pair.

Only thing I'm happy with BINANCE is the liquidity. I can quickly dump my STEEM as soon as it gets powered down. Best thing anyone can do right now is move their investments in as safe and liquid assets as possible, like Bitcoin.

Won't be touching my HIVE stake, but won't be adding to it either anytime soon

I am actually dimmed out, thanks to Corono lockdown and scare in India...but yeah I think I had some strenght while I went through those very thrilling Steem dramas and stuff last month. From disappointment, to action in voting, till end of last month, yeah where I heard about HIVE.

Then I went kind of mad...worried about all kinds of things and not able to be freash enough to understand HIVE. I don't have the nerve to take Steem and Justin Tron news, had enough and I am in the midst of this awful Corono scare ...yawns

But this is interesting... Binance taking took of Hive and Probit and BITTRREX. It's pretty sexy.

CZ has openly admitted what binance did was a mistake ... not just on twitter but he has been on video interviews saying they should have not done what they did.
