Tired or Exhausted .:. How do you feel at the end of a day?
This short vlog wasn't planned, but I had an interesting chat with my classmate today, and I wanted to share a couple of thoughts about that... It's always interesting to occasionally chat with our old friend that we know for ages, and they know us the best, as we know them...
Anyway, the topic was our current job(s)... How are we satisfied with them, or we didn't? What would be the best solution for how to proceed, and is there a point in doing it like we are doing... We are in different niches if I can say it like that... He is a programmer, who mostly work for others, and do occasional freelance work... Sometimes there is a lot of work, other times not that much... In general, money isn't the most important variable in the equation...
The talk was more about how do we feel at the end of the workday? Are we tired, exhausted? Nervous? Stressed?
Check out the video, this one isn't that long... :)
Thank you for your valuable time,
~ph~

tokens.I'm so tired right now, that I didn't watch the whole video. 🙃 Just gave another lecture and my head hurts. And in the weekend some overwork to meet deadlines in a big project. The money pays well, but it's definitely not everything.
As a software developer myself I probably know this more than others, that if you don't make a point out of relaxing and taking some vacation time, that it will never automatically come, because of the high demand for developers and the scarce supply globally.
Heheheh... No worries... Being a software developer has its pros, but it has cons... As I said, my friend is doing that for almost 20 years, and without having your OWN (little) project, it is hard to find meaning in creating stuff ONLY for others... I know that people are different, with different ideas and aspirations, but still, finding your "purpose" is a good way of moving forward..
Take a little break... It's the weekend, you deserve it! :)

I get that. That's why I have a general rule that if I'm not being challenge or there is no more room for growth for at max 2 years, that I HAVE to do something else, whether it be another employer, an own project or just fulltime doing crypto social media.
I have planned some strategic breaks at the end of this month and mid-march.
We've also planned tentative travel in July, just in case travel will be possible.
That's a great plan! Don't fall into the trap and make yourself too comfortable... You have a good strategy, now you "just" have to realize :)

tokens.Great thoughts! I like being tired at the end of the day because it means I did things with as much energy as I had to give. That's a good thing. !WINE
I like that!!! If we are tired, that indeed means that we gave 100% into what we were doing... and that is the right way of doing things!

.A day better than yesterday ... Never get time to brood on it.
Whenever tried, a little break and introspection help.
That's another good tactic... Always try to be better than the previous day... Or, better in the sunset than you were in sunrise :)

tokens.I believe it's an exciting time, in spite of all the negativity in the world there is still some space to do that. When you follow your dreams, you get into a flow and work doesn't look like work anymore...
Yeah, dreams, idea, love... Just transform "thinking" about it into action, and you are good to go!
