Today is most definitely an important flag waving occasion for most American citizens living in the USA. As Today is notably "Flag Day" on the Nation Calendar for the 14th June 2021.

America’s "Flag Day" 🇺🇸 event marks the Second Continental Congress’s adoption of the first US National flag on June 14th (1777). The first flag featured the same thirteen red & white stripes that we see today.

However, the number and arrangement of stars have changed as the number of states has increased over the centuries. The current flag has remained the same since 1960.

• Here's an interesting fact:

Did you know that there are now six US. flags sited on the Moon surface. The very first one was placed by the famous American astronaut "Neil Armstrong" in the year 1969. Actually I do remember watching that historic event on UK TV, when I was very young.
