I've already said my piece about this on discord to you, so you know where I stand. It's a top notch idea.

Holding off on my vote because of the curation trail and I think this needs to be at #1 trending because of how it poses the idea of an actual use case for POB.

I'm short on liquid funds right now but once I've sent transfers to some other project this week and I've collected some earnings, I'll send you over 1000 POB as a sponsor (no strings attached) to really get this rolling and to give you some creative freedom for the start of the project.

Slow and steady mate, keep us updated.

Holy Shit! Thats huge! That will pay for a lot of articles. Thanks a lot! It's probably best to keep the accounts separate. I'll ping you, once I've finalized the new account name. I'm still hoping for a better idea for a name. :)

And yeah. I'll defintitely keep the updates coming. I`ll probably report weekly until the project takes off and I'm running out of things to say. Then I'll switch to monthly reports.

Just ping me a message on discord when you have the account set up (may take me a week or so to accrue 1000, so some time to think it all through is solid).

Feel free to ask any questions also. Got some experience with "magazine-esque" styled posts and ideas from when @penderis and I ran @buddyup (some experience we weren't @creativecrypto by any stretch).

Interesting magazines. It's fascinating how professional posts were back then. I will have a lot to learn and might have to bring in some creative design people into the project at some point.

I'm best at learning from my own mistakes but I'm so far out of my depth, that I don't even know the things that I don't know.

Expect to get questioned a lot in the near future, once I'm wise enough to know the right questions.

Don't fret, it's a piece of piss, you are already 80% there with your own posts and the formatting tricks/style etc. Just need to move that magic over into a brandable mindset and figure out things like style/colour/layout and other bits and bobs.

Looking forward to the questions and future discussion, discord is best place to get me, but if you want to make some POBs via a post I'll come along and see what you've got rolling there also.

Saving a part of our income be it weekly, biweekly or monthly, we can start our habits to save, either for a goal or as an emergency fund that can be saved at any given time. In today's post my question is what types of savings do you make? Before focusing on a topic I want to tell you a fable that perhaps you heard as a child in school or your parents told you.

This is the fable of the three little pigs
Once upon a time, in a very beautiful forest there lived three curious and funny little pigs once they decided to build their little houses, so that each one could live in their own space, taking into account that an evil wolf also lived near the forest, so they began to work, because there was no time to sing or play just concentrating to make their strong houses:

Source

The first one built his little house made of straw, he held it tight so that the wolf could not enter, so he had a lot of free time to have fun and play.

The second pig built his wooden house because he thought it would be more resistant than straw and thus it would be impossible for the wolf to enter. Although the construction of it took longer than the first pig, when he finished his house and saw that he had his free time, he dedicated it to play with his brother.

The third little pig said:

"I will build my little brick house, I know it will cost me more work and time but it will be better," he thought aloud, so he began to place brick after brick, and that way he would feel safer and when the wolf arrived he would not be able to enter. What his brothers did was make fun of him because a house that took him a long time would not allow him time to enjoy life or play.

One day the wolf met the three little pigs .. "What horror they run for their lives", each little pig ran and ran, the first one entered his straw house, the wolf told him: "Open the door and let me in": the little pig He replied: I will not open! The wolf said: "Then I will blow and blow and your house will collapse", so I blow and blow and the little house destroyed.

The pig ran and ran and got into the house of the second pig, the one who lived in his little wooden house, then the wolf said: oh! How clever they are, and he pretended that he was leaving, then the wolf knocked on the door and said: "I am a little sheep and I only want to enter" the pigs realized the deception and responded:

"No! Wolf will not open", the wolf said, if they do not open me I will blow and blow and his house will collapse and he began to blow loudly so loud that the wooden house collapsed.

The two scared pigs ran, soon until they reached the house of the third pig, a brick house the pig made them enter and soon they closed the door, then the wolf arrived and again wanted to deceive them, he touched and said he was a humble student who sold wonderful pencils so that he can pay for his studies but the three little pigs did not believe him and threw things at him to make him go away: the enraged wolf said:

"If they don't let me in, I'll blow and I'll blow and the house will collapse," so it started blowing hard and so hard, but the house didn't even move, so I tried to enter through the chimney and it burned and well, the pigs were ready and the Wolf had no choice but to flee and the piglets were happy because they were already safe.

Opinion
This is a beautiful fable that cannot leave behind great teaching. First we will classify each of the elements of this story

The pigs are each one of us.**
They house the type of savings that we have created
The wolf (Problem, diseases, debts, threat to our well-being).
First type of savings: That of the straw house

This a guy who saves very little, who mostly lives from fortnight to fortnight, what little he saves that can be a week, he spends it at any time without taking any concern that he may need it later. That he just wants to have fun and live in the present, because life has to be lived, that money is to spend it not to save it. But when the Wolf arrives, he blows and blows and takes our savings, they leave us with nothing. By doing that he can leave us on the street, without a shelter from which to take the money.

Source

Second Type of Savings: The Wooden House

This is a type of savers who can only keep them for a few months, they are from 1 to 2 months when many, when they have the money in hand, they also spoil them, without leaving a penny for an emergency fund, when the wolf arrives, it blows and blows, collapsing our small savings, making us look for a refuge to get ahead.

Source

Third type of savings: The Brick House

Here are the types of people who take advantage of the time of their abundance, where that money that they were earning kept a good amount of money, apart from looking for strategies to invest their money and multiply it, where tomorrow the Wolf may arrive He cannot collapse his house or finances, because you prepared before his arrival.

Source
I know this part is very difficult is easy, to save a part of your money, when you see many people spending everything and enjoying the present, or when many people tell you that you are a stingy because you only do is work and save and invest but you do not enjoy life. But when problems come, since the cycle of life is that there are days of abundance, days of droughts, when others have eaten everything, you are prepared to face any storm.

So what kind of saver are you?

Sorry, I don't know what happened to my comment. What happens that I use a translator. Sorry.

Great post. I know your project will be a success. As far as I can collaborate, I am at your command.

This is an is an idea worth exploring. I wanted to try this myself with a couple of people who were passionate about content writing but not so interested in crypto. I wasnt able to pull it off because i kept planning and seeing loopholes

I think this is a great idea. I have one concern which I will share with you.

You should introduce new writers to POB, you should earn money off of this leg work that you do... but at some point, you should cut the writers loose to be their own POB'er. That is likely the only way to ensure longevity of your project.

As a contractor, working for a middle man is always a good foot in the door, but once I find out how much money he is getting from "hooking me up" I get mixed feelings. At that point, I quit and try to be my own man. This will ultimately happen with your magazine as well. If you can keep bringing in good writers, make money off of their introductory post(s) and then onboard them to the platform and repeat the process, it is win-win-win.

You will have my support on this.

Thanks.

I don't understand the second part.
Are you saying, that I should stop hiring them after a while?
I'm already planning to send every writer a link to every post, so that they can see how much they could have made, if they had posted it themselves.

I feel like that's fair enough. I can't force them to join POB if they prefer not to.

No, that's all you need to do... as long as they know the game it's all good. It will bring more good content to POB. Some people would rather get $20 than 140 POB. I wouldn't, but some people might.

I see an successful idea in this plan, but I believe that it needs tweaking.

  • I don’t see how this is going to bring writers in effectively. It will surely get you plenty on personal content, but the writers for hire won’t pay much Mind to the platform they are being hired for. There would be some expectations, but I think most that you hire will take their money and call it a day.

  • $10 for a good 500 word post Isn’t enough for good writers. From a personally perspective, I would never sell that many words for $10. It can take me hours, even days to write 500 words that isn’t freewrite. Even then, my free writing consumed a lot of time. And that’s for topics that I chose. Articles can take hours or days to research topic or take a short course online, and |or researching competitors, writing, editing, formatting, more editing, photo or sound sourcing, and communication back and forth between you and them. Also, a good writer will take into considerations of their educational costs, internet, electric bill, and hardware (laptop, cell). —- $10 isn’t going to attract proper writers.

Those are just my fly by night opinions and I’m no one special.

Again, I think you are on the correct path and your motivation and incentive is admirable.

To the first point:
Assuming they're successful writers, there is no reason for me to stop hiring them. I assume they would get curious at some point, why the same guy keeps hiring and sending them links to their posts infinitely.

To the second point:
Yeah. It's an experiment. Clearly I won't be hiring people, who already make money on POB. I'm open to failure.
A $10 post needs to make about 30 POB to be successful. With @calumams sponsorship I'm going to be open to get better writers, too. We'll see which once perform the best. :)

In the end it's an experiment. I'm excited to see, where it gets me. I expect to make lots of mistakes and learn a lot.

What about copyright ? Are you planing to share their content on your account, or you will create special accounts for those writers. So, why to not just invite them here and pay them from the curation rewards or create a referral system here where people will earn from those they invited. I think the onboarding hive system have something like that. That will be good to see an onboarding system created here. More people will join us that way.

The copyright will be mine. That's what I will be buying.

The content will be posted on @thehoot , which is my account specifically for this project.

I'm not sure, what you're saying with the rest of your post. I'd love a referral system on POB. But this is about creating my own magazine on POB. Getting new writers to join POB on their own is just a nice side-effect I'm expecting.

I understand now about copyright.

About the referral system, I meant when we create accounts using HiveOnboard program here : https://signup.hive.io/ There are two accounts who are set as refferers. I tried to create an account and two accounts were set as beneficiaries for each content I create. Like 1% for one and 1% for an others. I don't know the details, I'm just sharing the information.

I meant for POB it will be good if we will have onboarding program that will motivate people to invite more people here.

Sounds promising with lots of potential!
Plus you already laid out the groundwork and have a plan in place. I say ACT on that plan now and make that vision become a reality.

You have my two cents :) (votes worth a little more than that lol but hope it helps!)
Love seeing initiatives and ideas being born and proof of brain makes a perfect launch base for that.

I'm still exploring this community @antonym, but I love the fact that you are — in the core essence — proposing to create an actual "use case" here! Far too many communities are started with great fanfare and enthusiasm, but quickly turn into "yet another token we tag our posts with" as the initial shine wears off and we essentially end up with "Hive 2.1.12."

So yeah, I'll be watching this with interest... both to see what happens, as well as from the angle of someone who's been writing web content for going on 25 years.

=^..^=

This idea looks really promissing because it has potential, @antonym.

I hope it works and bring an extra value to POB community.
