RE: What is quality content?

For me it's pretty simple but it's going to be different for everyone.

  • If it provides development, adoption or helps growth it gets my highest vote
(Currently I feel development needs to be priority around here)

  • If it's a post I gain information from it gets my second highest vote
    (I enjoy learning new things)

  • If it's a post on a popular topic and it gets promoted on other socials it gets my next highest
(Promoting your own content on other platforms helps bring awareness)

  • If it's a post that's well written but is more of a light hearted post it gets my lowest vote
(Idk to me just writing about your day etc is ok but it's not really providing any value in my opinion)

  • If it's flat out spam you get no vote

Since hive itself is a article marketing site I only really go for 300 words+ anything less will have issues ranking in search results.

Thank you for this detailed answer... I can agree with most of the things that you said, and we have to be aware that not everyone can write "masterpiece" here on Hive, but there are some minimum requirements that should be met...

Personally, I want to see that author has made an effort to write the post... That shows that he/she cares for others, and for the platform in general...
