Happy not mothers day

Today in various parts of South America something called Mother's Day is celebrated, a theme for some sacred but which can always be approached with the necessary objectivity and sanity.

I think I will not elaborate much ... to understand this you must know something first.

When you open your eyes and look around you, you realize that we live in a world full of consumerism, and this encompasses many famous dates like this, and I don't want you to misunderstand me since I also have a mother and I love her with all my heart and maybe be the reason why I decide to write this ...

When you want to look for something you just have to look and not believe everything they tell you so you can verify all this on the web.
Checking some figures and I am not as good as my friend @amr008 but I found some figures which comment on the growth of trade in terms of these types of dates. references references references

Personally and I respect the decisions of other people I think that Mother's Day is any day that you have to send a gift to your mother, I should not expect a specific date to be able to show affection to Mom.

These types of celebrations keep many people in the rat race, trapped in expenses that in the end are practically induced by a rain of publicity that ends up affecting persecution, and some weak minds give in, either due to social pressure or grief. , custom ... and the list goes on.

It is interesting to see how in times of crisis it is still possible to maintain the sense of consumerism, really the work that great media have been doing to indoctrinate this behavior, has paid off over decades ... and I reiterate I respect every opinion and your right to celebrate dates that you think are convenient, it's just my point of view!

I think a day to celebrate is fine but I agree that there is way too much emphasis placed on the monetary/consumerism aspect of some days of celebration. I try to show those that I love and appreciate gratitude on a daily basis if possible.

It took me a lot of years to get past the indoctrination you speak of. I am much happier being present and thoughtful each day rather then waiting for specific days determined by others with possible monetary type reasons to tell me when to celerate. Like you said though, to each their own. :)

I am glad I am not the only one who went through this process ... and remember how difficult it was and now look back and nostalgically think about the lost time ...

I also agree 100% with giving and showing affection without waiting for a certain day, we learn that when we understand how difficult life can be and you want to take advantage of every second and squeeze the best out of it.

That's the reason why I don't give congratulations on this day, at least not as a "special" day. Every day of the year should be Mother's Day. It's like the famous "Thanksgiving Day". If every day of the year were "Thanksgiving" days, the world would be very different, I'm sure.

... and so I could say about almost all the famous modern "one day" celebrations.

and if we add each "holiday" there is a partisan and beneficial background for those who have any interest in exchanging a good or service for money. In short, a small group is made with great profits at the expense of a great mass that moves to the rhythm of unbridled sonsumism!

I'd better not go into the detail of stupid consumerism because otherwise I'm going to end up angry.

sonsumism!

That's the right word 😂

in this part of the world, we celebrate mother's day quite a number of times and I find it really ridiculous but hey it is not up to me. I love my mother and I show love to her every day. i don't need a specific day to celebrate her.

This day is particularly suitable for the vast majority of hypocrites who do not show a bit of affection and this is an ideal date to be noticed and thus have the perfect excuse according to their perception to be absent for the remaining 364 days!

No. I don't think you would be misunderstood for your statements. It is very easy to see the effects of consumerism on holidays like Mother's Day. People expect to receive something for the designated special event. Commercials prompt you to ready yourself for the day by kindly suggesting things you could buy for your mother. I get the importance of making someone feel special and appreciated. There's no need to restrict it to one day for the purpose of a profit.

Thank you and it is really encouraging to find quite similar thoughts, this reinforces my theory that more and more of us are waking up from the matrix and not only open our eyes but also promote and duplicate what we have learned to provide our surroundings close to or behind a computer the opportunity to join this movement!

Mind you, however, I did not realize this until I got married. Before my marriage, I thought of them as constant friendly reminders that I needed to acknowledge the importance of people. Once I had to support, unfortunately, my eyes became wide open.

It's as if the wool was cast over my eyes and now it was dispelled. I have to write to you that it wasn't a comfortable feeling. I married late into my early 40s.

wow well the important thing about all this is that I found love, and also managed to open my eyes, two aspects of vital importance for a life with purpose!

Now, don't take this the wrong way, but I feel that falling in love and getting married was an extreme event. It certainly doesn't feel that way and didn't at the time. I consider it extreme because the event and the discovered responsibilities were great enough to jar me from the cycle of normality I'd always found myself attached. Yeah, the points you mentioned are certainly important to having a purpose.
