Identifying and rewarding quality content on Hive
As the platform grows, there are many new users who come on-board in search of rewards. #POB has one of the highest curation rewards on hive blockchain. Many a times when I surf through the "New" section on this platform, I stumble upon some good posts that are not rewarded.
Since last couple of days, I have started rewarding them with 100% value of my vote which is just over 10 POB. I am looking to engage more with the community and with the new users and would like to reward the posts which are undervalued but are quality posts.
Anybody who feels that there is a undervalued quality post on this platform can just feel free to post the link of the post in the comments section.
However, there are some rules to do this.
- You can not nominate your own posts. It has to be the posts written by someone else.
- The post should be at least 4 days old. The reason I am saying 4 days old is because, in four days if none of the whales on this platform have noticed then there is a little chance that it would be noticed in the last 3 days.
- Total rewards on the post, at the time of posting it in the comment section on this post should be less than 1 POB.
- The post should not have been downvoted by any other user as found to be using plagiarism techniques.
- The post should be well written and should be at least 300 words in length.
I would manually curate every post which is posted here in the comments section of this post. This is just a small contribution from my end to boost the morale of the new contributors.
This was very much needed to increase the engagement on platform. I hope your post gets noticed by few more big whales on #pob and they join your trail to distribute the pob votes to deserving contributors. I would soon start posting a couple of posts.

This is a very nice observation just as you have said that you have also come across nice and quality contribution with no rewards at all which I want to believed that you are seeing things the same way I see them too,cause such users won't been motivated to do more especially when such users come across comment that as less contribution compare to his own been valued more enough,just like I said in one of my post of recent that getting upvoted is it all about number of engagement or quality contribution on my page, although I later got to know that it needs to do with how many engagement a user as done which I want to say it is one of the purpose of this community, cause engagement on it own add to the progress of the community,but on the other way round I still so much want a way that quality contribution will get valued and notice irespective of how many engagement such users do in a day or in a period, users should get valued for using their brain well
Wow this is very interesting, it feels good knowing you're sticking up to make good authors and writing feel some value in there writing.
I've passed a few posts in the platform talking about authors not being rewarded according to the quality of there post.
So I will say nice one @interpretation for finding time to provide manual rewards for such authors.
We need all this support and motivation in the community to make it grow and wax strong and also to keep the spirit active.

Can you mention some of these posts which are undervalued for atleast 4 days. The reason I am insisting on 4 days is because if they are not seen by the whales in the first four days then there is a likelihood that they will remain undervalued. 4 days is sometimes necessary for the whales to adjust their voting powers, voting priorities etc. So I would consider only those posts which are 4 or more days old.
I totally understand your reasons for days old post. I will do my best to look out for some and share it here.

I thought the idea was great, and I confess that I have forgotten to focus on the "new posts", not because I give priority to the group I already follow, but simply because I lack the voting power to cure everyone I wanted, haha. I'm going to start organizing a system of voting every other day on posts from new members to help with this encouragement, without a doubt this is fundamental, I say this because I've been in this situation and I know how encouraging it is to win a good vote!

Oh! My mistake! I understand wrong, something like "less than 4 days" haha. Sorry. But understand better now, about why wait 4 days or even more.
@interpretation your initiatives are really good. I was reading the need of rewarding the small accounts with good votes. I am happy you started. Lets see how you get the response. I am sure many other whales or dolphins would join you soon. Start a curation trail and it would be helpful.
