Richlist reveals that decentralization on POB has started
Richlist is changing fast. Lot of new faces are finding place in top 50. Very few are able to maintain their position.

Total Investors
There were 3838 investors this week against 3707 last week. Which means there is addition of 131 accounts. But this week I just made an attempt to identify how many of these 3838 accounts carry zero balance.
More than 42% of these 3838 accounts have zero balance or near zero balance in their accounts. This number is quite an alarming number. More investors are coming on this platform or using the tag just to cash out the tokens.
Influence of Top 50 POB Holders
There are 715244 POB tokens staked in the #pob power. Out of these 519785 POB power is staked in these 50 accounts, which are mentioned here in this rich list. That shows the influence of these 50 accounts on the overall community.
This is just 73% of the total POB staked. Till few weeks back, the top 50 accounts controlled close to 90% of the total staked power.
This indicates that the real decentralization has started and there are more accounts with significant POB power now. This is a good news for the community.

Yes in last few posts you made, we have been seeing the constant change in the bottom of the pyramid. There have been new entries every week and there have been consistent increase in the threshold for entering into the richlist I feel this all reveal that the decentralization on the #pob platform is the reality. It would be great if you can also add some stats related to the stakeholders holding between 1000 to 2517 POB Power. The reason I am considering 2517 is because that is the cut-off to get into the richlist.
@vanillavow there are 42 accounts in that range which are above 1000 balance in their wallets which includes the liquid pob, staked pob and also the delegations received.
This is an interesting development. Top 50 accounts were always controlling a big stake in the POB power. However, with the reduced percentage, now it seems that there are many other players who are having valuable votes on the platform.

It was completely normal that we had "centralized power" at the beginning of the life of POB... As time passes, the distribution of token power will be better and better... A bit of drama that has been added to the pot speeded up the process, but it is a process...

Sure good to see this "decentralization has started". All the time I'm looking for a new members, new post feed.
Avoiding to even look into the trending tab, avoiding giving a fat upvotes to the most top20 entries. I know my rivals on that list avoid upvoting me anyway, so why would I worry doing this, and worry disclosing this now?
Avoiding to upvote "richies" is something like a "lite version" of the downvote, which I'm a big proponent of.
In fact, not all "richies" are the same (in my eyes). There is a BIG difference between the level of respect I have to those who got into top20 by buying (!) tokens on the open market, and those, who got 90-97% of their current stake in the first 2-3 weeks of the tribe, virtually for free.

Yeah I agree, only author rewards are not enough to grow fast in the rich lists any more. You need to be innovative in curation to increase your curation rewards, which is roughly 200% at the moment. This may add upto your wealth a bit.

I think the recent volatility in POB caused this big shift. There were those who were hoping they could use their stake to censor on whim or were just expecting POB to continue to go up forever because it always had. When you have something that has been going up for a while, you attract the buy high, sell low crowd. They are the ones that see something going up and buy, but then they hold in anticipation of it going up some more, until finally the price of something goes down and then they decide to sell. They don't care about demand factors or limited supply.
You are right, the new entrants I am seeing here are either buying the pob low in the market or are exchanging their #hivepower for #pobpower. There are multiple parameters which are affecting the shift in the power and its simply interesting to witness this changing dynamics.

It's weird to find myself on this list because the only reason I am on it is because I got a delegation. So in a sense it's a temporary thing right?
Is it possible to highlight people who are on the rich list because of delegations?
Just to give more context in a sense.
Its not actually weird because 21 out of 50 rich stakeholders mentioned in the rich-list have one or more active delegations. Delegations add to your value of the vote and is essential to consider while calculating the exact value of the stakes of the rich investors.

It's nice to see the analysis, and "who's who." This does hint at the beginning of decentralization, at least.
What would be an even deeper indication of decentralization would be to look at what it takes to be in — let's say — 200th place on the richlist, and then the week-over-week growth rate of what it takes to maintain 200th place... that would hint not only at the depth of decentralization, but at the direction of stakeholding trends... is POB becoming more decentralized (more scattered staking) or less decentralized (staking more focused among the primary holders).
But thanks for doing this; I do have a fondness for statistics!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I just checked through the calculations and figured out that to be in top 200 places on #pob you need to have only 294 #pob power or liquid pob. I will try to track the threshold required to be in the top 200 as well in coming months.
When I started compiling this rich-list, the 50th stakeholder just had 1000 POB power and Liquid POBs. Now as the weeks passed by, stakeholder with 1000 POB power has gone down to 93rd position in the list of the stakeholders. This also means that 1000 POB power is not enough to be in top 50 any more.
Woo hoo…. I made the Rich list finally. Next stop 10,000 POB. Coming soon. Then 100,000 POB.

Thanks for the informative post! These graphics help a lot to make the size of each whale more "understandable". I wonder if we had a constant active participation of all these curators, how much better we would be circulating Pob.
Most of these accounts curate regularly except the community account. They do a lot of active voting around the quality posts. Largest curator account curates most of the quality posts on the #pob platform.
In fact, there is a good curation in some of these members. It is not possible to generalize, but I believe that this issue could be further expanded and better used. Thanks for answering ;)
