How Much Do You Want Success?

Do you really want to be successful?
Silly question, right? Of course, everybody wants to be successful.
But how much do you want to be successful? Do you have enough confidence in your own abilities? Is your desire for success big enough to overcome the biggest obstacle? Can you ignore other people's negativity, their opinions, and overcome them? Is your desire for success greater than your fear of failure?
To succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure. ~ Bill Cosby
When we get bombarded with other people's opinions, especially when we are facing major obstacles, It's easy to just throw in the towel and quit.
But we need to realize that each one of us has a mind of our own. You decide what you take ownership of in your mind. Whether you realize it or not, when you listen to other people and respond by acting accordingly, you accept their opinion as truth and make it your own.
Gone is the excuse of... "Johnny told me it wouldn't work..." or, "Susan said I should rather do it that way..." The minute you acted on it, it became your decision.
Why did you quit? Or why did you do it the way Susan said? Were you afraid that you might fail if you did it the way you intended to do it? Or were you really convinced that the other person's idea was more valid than yours? Maybe even the idea of someone who didn't put in half as much research into the topic as what you have? Only you can decide what you believe or not.
If you have decided to start an online business or to become an affiliate marketer, or a content creator/writer/author...whatever your goal is, you have taken ownership of that thought in your mind.
The question is; will you make it? I don't know... There are no guarantees for anything in life. The only guarantee is that you will meet with resistance somewhere down the road in some shape or form. It might be cash-flow problems, it might be due to a lack of experience or just plain the negativity of other people.
So before you even start, determine how much you really desire to be successful in achieving your goals.
When your funds are running low...when people start telling you that you'll never make it...when it feels like the competition is getting too strong... Is your desire for success greater than your fear of failure.
Only you can decide that. If someone else tells you to quit because you'll never make it, it's their opinion...and I suppose they are entitled to have their opinion. But so are you. You are also entitled to your own opinion. You do not have to accept other people's opinions as your own.
There might be circumstances where it becomes wise to admit that you didn't make it (this time...lol) and stop working towards a certain goal. It might be due to economic conditions or your project might just turn out not to be viable in the way that you thought it would be.
But you should be the judge of that. And if that is the case...well, now you know because you have at least tried.
If you just quit because of what other people say or think, or you just became fearful of failure, you will always live with that regret and the uncertainty of..."What if I kept going? Maybe I could have made it".
As already mentioned, there are no guarantees in life. There will always be a possibility of failure in whatever you do. But even so, success is a possibility too.
If you give in to your fears, your chances of ever achieving success become very slim.
If, on the other hand, you are determined and your desire for success is greater than your fear of failure, you increase your chances of being successful multiple times.
This is advice I have personally received from more than one person on this blockchain. I am currently applying it myself and it works.
Take your eyes off the scoreboard. Put your head down, and do the work. Focus on what you need to do and just do it.
