3 Reasons Why I can Achieve My July Hive Goal

It is not the first time that I have tried to set goals and achieved or did not achieve them!

Goals are easy to set but difficult to achieve especially if you lack the necessary willpower and most importantly self-discipline.

I know many of you are excited because it is a new month and it is natural to be excited and delusion ourselves that we shall achieve more!

I have been there before whereby I was filled with delusion, hoping without doing(acting), wishing without doing and it has affected my productivity a lot.

Setting goals is easy until it is time to work on them!

I am more motivated than before just as everyone else to achieve my goals for this month, I have never been this motivated before!

I know you might be wondering what seems so different from the previous times I have set goals and failed to achieve them!

There are many factors that have made me motivated and give me the confidence to achieve my goals this time around.

Let me tell you my simple goal for this month,

My Goal on Hive This Month is to write 3 posts per day

Yes, you read that right, I want to challenge myself to write 3 posts daily for this month of July.

It looks simple and also difficult at the same time.
I will not set a goal about Hive Power or Hive or tokens because that is kinda out of my reach.

Yes, I can set a goal to make a certain number of HP this month, but it will entirely depend on many factors and one of course is the number of posts I make.

I have always set a goal to make a certain number of HP or Hive and I haven't been successful in the past and today I have decided to take another route.

I feel I am more in control now with this goal of writing 3 posts a day and I am on it already(as this is the first post for the day).

3 Reasons Why I can Achieve My Goal This Month

1. Previous Success

I am confident that I can achieve this feat of writing 3 posts per day because I once did it in the past(around 2018) and I can replicate that now again.

I once used to write 2-4 posts per day on the old blockchain, I had a group of friends with whom I did this together with.

I think that time was when a project Oracle-d was introduced here and we were sure of upvotes on the posts we wrote.

I was among the selected few who participated in that project. We had motivation as a group to write those posts as we encouraged each other to push on.

It is unfortunate that most of those friends left and I am now alone hahaha. It means that I now have to have so much inner willpower to remind myself daily of the goal at hand.

Since I have done it before, I can do it again and even better.

Apart from my previous experience, there are also other people here already writing 3 posts per day and they encourage me to do it too.

2. Self-discipline

There are many definitions of self-discipline, but I love the one I read from Jim Rohn that went something like

Self-discipline is doing what you are supposed to do whether you feel like it or not

We all know what we are supposed to be doing at specific times, but it is the self-discipline that prevents us from doing these activities.

I am going to force myself to write 3 posts a day whether I feel like it or not, whether on a weekend or weekday!!

I know you might be asking yourself what makes me think that I now have the necessary self-discipline? You are right to let me answer that below.

We all know that we do not buy self-discipline as we buy electronics, it is developed gradually!

I feel confident that I have developed some level of self-discipline in these last months or so.

I have been able to make 1 post per day daily for the month of June, even though most of those posts were Actifit ones!

So if I have been able to post daily for this last month, I can use that same discipline to post 3 articles per day this month.

I have also developed the self-discipline to fast, for those who have ever tried fasting know how tough it is hehe.

I am in my third week of fasting and as I type this I am my 16th hour of fasting for this week's edition which started on Wednesday 30/06 19:00 EAT until 02/07 19:00 EAT.

I wrote a post yesterday talking of the benefits I have so far reaped from fasting that can help you too.

I cannot believe that I am now consistently able to survive on only water every two days of the week, remember a week has 7 days hehe, anyway check out that post

3. Ability To Write on Many Topics

If you have been on Hive for a long time you should not be surprised that we can write about many topics of our liking.

I had always restricted myself to only writing about crypto-related content, but now I am opening myself wholly to other topics.

I have realized that to hit my target of 3 posts per day I now need to open up and write about or in the different communities that are on Hive.

There are many communities here that I will now be writing on like Natural Medicine, Cinetv, leofinance, sports talk, gems to name but a few.

A look at Hive trending page shows a myriad of communities that the different people are posting on.

As you can see above, those are the trending communities right now on Hive and I can write in many of them.

I will now start to visit and interact in many of these communities that I would like towrite in so that I get acquainted with their content.

I will also participate in some of their contests.

So folks I am really confident that I will be able to make 3 posts daily here on Hive here starting today hehe.

It would be great if some of you join me on this journey and we see how far we can go this month.
