My Favourite Article of the Day

My Favourite Article of the day was written by @trostparadox which is a proposal for changes in the #pob community, I have been putting off voting on this until the last minute because I wanted to improve my power so that my vote would count a little bit more, in this new version of a recent proposal @trostparadox revised some key points of importance for the community, this is an article that everyone interested in the future of #pob community needs to read NEW Formal Proposal for Rules Governing Downvoting within the “Proof of Brain” Tribe (with no ‘de minimus downvote’ option) and then vote according to how you would like to see the rules governing the '#pob community in the future, something that whichever way you choose to vote should not be avoided. There is no right or wrong answer as to how you should vote, but reading and voting is a must whichever way you choose. This proposal aims to bring the rules governing the #pob tribe in the direction which the community is most in favour of seeing and should be one of the most important reads you make Today.

Finding my #faotd can sometimes take time and a lot of reading before I can decide, this article I have put off for days now as I waited to build a little more power, but as it is reaching it's payout period and I could find nothing more relevant to include I reverted back to this, because I feel it is an important subject that impacts each and every one of us using the #pob front.

Do make sure to drop by and make your vote count before the deadline HERE

image.png

I have been putting off voting on this until the last minute because I wanted to improve my power so that my vote would count a little bit more

FYI, your vote on either one of the proposals (whether yay or nay), casts your full POB stake for the duration of the voting period. As such, if you stake another 100 POB tonight, that extra 100 POB will be added to your previous vote. However, I haven't been updating each and every person's stake during each update, because that would take too long. Once the vote is over or if either proposal gets close to 50%, then I will update those numbers as well.

Brilliant, I held off because I wanted to ensure my vote counted that little bit more towards the Yay, I voted early on in the original proposal because I believe this is the best way forward for the community, but now knowing that even staking extra along the way will be counted at the end is great news, I have just staked another 90 odd POB just there, it's slowly building and I will continue to do so because I believe in the community, it's aim and the future we can all see.

Thanks for the feedback very much appreicated

I'm interested in peoples thoughts on why these meta POB community posts continue to be tagged into the LeoFinance community.

All I see people say is 'to get a double free tokens' which surely shouldn't be encouraged, right?

There is zero value here for LeoFinance?

I'm sorry you feel that way, personally I feel these posts although posted via #pob and also using the loefinance tag are about people EARNING tokens through engagement and by encouraging readers is also a finance related issue, nobody gets a double free token, the entrants are encouraged to read and produce their #faotd which improves commenting, engagement and curation on the hive blockchain as a whole

Lol, while that's technically true, it could also be viewed as taking advantage.

If this sort of content is also being published to leofinance.io and rewarded with LEO tokens, I just think it's a discussion worth having.

In my opinion, tagging low-value posts from other communities to the LeoFinance community simply because you can earn tokens and tokens are finance, is taking advantage.

In fairness thats your personal opinion which is fine and while I would have to disagree, I do not see sharing something that others may and have seen value in as taking advantage in using the tag, what you personally see as tagging low value content from other communities, others may see value in and it is still a finance related topic, whether it be about earning tokens, trading, crypto news wallets etc, or is it that you would prefare it to have been posted in the leofinance front end.

Would you say that sharing another tribes interests even if finance related is not worthy of being posted in or tagged in loefinance?

What about something unrelated to finance being posted in leofinance?

what you personally see as tagging low value content from other communities, others may see value in

Exactly man, this is the great thing about decentralised platforms.

We're free to post and share opinions on those posts as we please.

Value is subjective.

But when I say 'value' I mean evergreen content that is going to attract ongoing traffic from outside the Hive bubble to our domain.

The key to increasing the price of LEO is to encourage high quality, outward-facing content which brings in new eyeballs.

New eyeballs means ad revenue, leading to token burns and a price floor.

it is still a finance related topic, whether it be about earning tokens, trading, crypto news wallets etc, or is it that you would prefare it to have been posted in the leofinance front end.

I'm sorry, but this post is not a finance related topic.

It's simply your opinion on the best random topic posts found on another domain.

It offers no value to LeoFinance or the leofinance.io domain.

Would you say that sharing another tribes interests even if finance related is not worthy of being posted in or tagged in loefinance?

Sharing non-finance related content to the LeoFinance front-end is not allowed.

But curators with stake in both tokens continue to encourage low value, uncategorised content such as this on the leofinance.io domain.

Sure, they receive curation rewards in the short term, but it does nothing to help increase the token price over the long term.

With the endless meta-POB content being rewarded with LEO on the leofinance.io front-end, this is a discussion that the community needs to have.

What about something unrelated to finance being posted in leofinance?

Again, LeoFinance is the 'investments community' on Hive.

So non-finance related content is not to be posted here.

Yes that is the great thing about decentralized platforms we can agree to disagree in a civilized way.

I'm sorry, but this post is not a finance related topic.

The main focus of these contests is to encourage and reward engagement through prizes and curation I do not agree that earning a token whether it be through contests, engagement, curation, airdrops or rewards and then posting an article that encourages this as not Finance related, or relevant to other community members. It might not be investment finance or too your personal taste but it is still finance related.

For some this can be the equivalant to earning a weekly/ monthly wage. Not everyone can afford to trade or invest at the highest levels of finance. Isn't that what decentralized platforms are all about giving the small guys a chance to gain an equal footing through hard work. *We each start at different levels, with different knowledge and skill sets, part of that journey is learning.

Plus without engagement the value of tokens on tribes would fall significantly. Therefore I believe encouraging engagement should in itself be encouraged as we all benefit directly from this.

But when I say 'value' I mean evergreen content that is going to attract ongoing traffic from outside the Hive bubble to our domain.

Yes I get this point and I may not have the same financial level of experience as some I do share my posts through #pob onto twitter and a half a dozen other platforms to also bring users to the hive ecosystem as I have done with posts from Leo.Including read.cash, publishOX, den.social, floyx and Torum.

Unfortunately each person's views on finance are subjective and different depending on their circumstances and living situations, I prefer not to distinguish between the too as they are both equally important to each side of the divide.

If I created a similar contest in Leo would you have the same opinion on that?

Not all posts in leofinance are about investment, there is a wide range of posts from gaming, technology, engagement, curation and many other subjects, would you say these authors are taking advantage? Not my opinion but I would love to hear yours.

In fairness I agree with some aspects of what you say?
This is a discussion worthy of having.

Sharing non-finance related content to the LeoFinance front-end is not allowed.

Would you be surprised to learn that a quick observation of your wallet shows that you have personally curated non finance posts in the Leofinance front end. RECENTLY

I am just curious, not poking fingers, it is just funny that you would chose this one to do so on.

We all have opinions which is human nature and that is perfectly fine, I value your opinion just like the next person's

My investment in leofinance is mighty small, but I am still a stake holder all the same and reserve the right to disagree, I do however get your point that the post is not directly investment finance related as are dozens of posts created on leo daily and in fact I believe most of them add value to the platform.

The main focus of these contests is to encourage and reward engagement

Yes, on your own POB community.

To build value for your community and your POB token.

This post and posts like this does not build value for LeoFinance, you're simply shoehorning the tag to get a few extra tokens.

proofofbrain.io content does not help leofinance.io in any way.

Rewarding it with LEO does not help build value on our LEO investment in any way.

Therefore, anyone with a large LEO stake who is reading this (and meta POB posts like this), should consider these points when making curation decisions.

You might get some extra tokens in the short term from curation rewards, but it is not helping to increase the value of your overall LEO investment.

OK appreciate the feedback, I will take more care not to unnecessarily use the tag in the future, Apologises for any wires crossed RESPECT

Leo Finance is very protective of their tag use. Best to avoid using their tags in the future if the post isn't directly financial related. Mineopoly had to deal with a similar situation not too long ago. I also had my own education on that matter when I was participating there. My departure from Leo was amicable. I'm just not motivated, or skilled, at writing financial articles.

I was beginning to see that, the funny thing is that it drives new users away from the platform, I was considering doing a #faotd especially for the leo community, but not to sure now. Shame Really

Either way I think you are right, I will not use that tag anymore unless it's for airdrops, music, football and other unrelated posts, JUST KIDDING I got the memo.

Best to just stick to POB with POB posts and vice, versa.

Yeah, sorry about that. Pretty much. It's why I started sticking with POB. Leo isn't the only group protective of their tags.

Yes I am starting to see that, I'm not to good at writing about financial topics related to crypto myself, but for now I am happy to stick with POB, it is a much more welcoming tribe, with less constraints on the authors, Thanks for the feedback

Congrats to myself and to you @plint more wins to us.

My favorite Article of the day will go to a post titled A Balanced Meal For My Loved Ones Family shared by @aimharryianne

It's not a recipe post but the way she expressed herself on how she prepared the meals and the pictures she shared were just so real and sumptuous of course.

I also learnt about a unique fish through her post, I never knew there's a fish like that 😂 you might want to check what fish I'm talking about.

Thanks

Thanks a lot! It is much appreciated! The reblogging is a good idea, so I have reblogged.
My article pick for today is this one on Trusting Our Intution by @kemmyb. I think it's a super interesting topic, I trust my own intuition a lot, but the best thing is that this author takes a step back from our feelings and looks at the scientific explanation instead and describing it as a way of knowing or knowledge that stems from the deep consciousness.

Anyway I thought it was fascinating: what is this deeper sense of knowing? How does our deep consciousness take decisions or come to knowledge? And if we would do the research how many of these decisions would we classify as positive?
I am realizing that I usually pick article for me that give me even more questions haha, but I guess that is the meaning of it all: broadening the mind usually brings even more questions! #faotd #dcc

Great article intuition is indeed something we all use, certainly I would follow my gut daily whether be what to write about or making life decisions thanks for sharing this with us, and reblogging will hopefully help us to reach more potential entrants and of course readers and curators, Thank You.
