RE: What is quality content?

I'm an artist and craftsman, so I view it like I view selling arts and crafts.

The first art I sold was sign art. I found it difficult to name a price, but I found other artists pricing their craft by how much they want to make an hour. Is your craft worth $20 an hour? $30 an hour?

So when I vote, I take this into consideration. I upvote all my artist friends. I know a good amount of time and effort and creativity was put into a piece of art. If the word count is low, that's okay because the art was the work.

For written posts, I do the same. If I can tell a good amount of time was taken to research and write they get a full upvote.

I admit, when considering how many upvotes I get a day, especially on POB, I tend to favor the smaller accounts because I want HIVE to be filled with a lot of smaller accounts as opposed to a few large accounts.

I'm not very good at arts, but I do have a very good friend who is an artist... He has the same problem when he has to "put the price" on his artworks... As it is very hard to do because of multiple factors that have to be calculated to that price...

It's not just how it looks, it is the story about the artwork... How it is created? What experiences have implemented the author? Sometimes the artwork takes a lot of time to be done... There were obstacles, which ones and why?....

The same goes for posts here on Hive...

Thanks for sharing your view about this matter!
