From Routine to Creativity .:. Hump Day Easy Talk

I'm lacking so much lately with my long walks... I have blamed bad weather for that, or my headaches, which are valid excuses, but on the other side, I should have that 1 hour per day for a walk... No excuses... Also, I'm doing vlogs very rarely in the last couple of months, and I was doing them every day in the last year! Luckily, I have created this Hump Day Easy Talk series which is motivating me to continue with video creation just to keep it alive...

That's one of the topics in this video... Creating these habits, or routines, that pushes us forward to do them... When they become a routine, we don't need a push at all, as they just flow... They are great because they are those that bring you food to the table... But, on the other side, they are also those who are keeping you inside that box called the comfort zone...

In the video, I was talking about my approach to routines and habits, and how they help me to find free, creative time for developing new ideas and brainstorming them... How routines create a new box where we are feeling comfy, but also, create a new space for exploring...

Check out the video for more details...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

Trying to rid myself of "bad" habits and getting into new routines with habits that would better my life. It takes time, so I tell myself not to worry when I don't get it right, right away.

Yeah, bad habits suck... :) I like to create good ones, and maybe push a bit more than I should... Sometimes, that removes the old, bad habits as there is no place (and time) to express them... :)

But those habits and routines also can kill the creativity, the surprise "effect"... As always, it's all about the balance...

I know what you mean about the "surprise effect", because we can't often control where our creativity spurs from. Those often are "spur of the moment" and in those instances I can't write those ideas down, like being behind the wheel or something haha.

Enjoy your weekend! :)

I totally get your point. When you do something new, all the previous habits are kind of thrown upside down and you need to reorganise, regroup and develop new habits and form a kind of organisation that is sustainable. Only then it will be possible to start something new again.

... to drop all the bad things and all that doesn't serve to us and make new priorities... open the new page in the book when all the previous ones are read... ;)
